Well, that's one way to put it I guess

quote:

"It'll be interesting to watch," Martin said of Kiffin. "A couple of years ago, Lane pretty much adopted what we do on offense. From how they get plays in, the way their mechanics on offense, Alabama and Lane pretty much adopted what we do here at Southern Cal."

Unfortunately as a fan of a SEC team not named Bama, it appears to be working out far better for Kiffin at Alabama, than it has for Martin at USC.

Does USC still have the same offense though?

Pretty sure USC has run a pretty similar offense from the time Carroll arrived and Chow then Sark/Kiffin ran it through today. They've adapted through the years like everyone else had (tempo, etc), but I think the basic tenants of pro-style have always been the same.

The former quarterback did let it be known he will always be a Volunteer. When he was asked whether he prefers the USC fight song or Rocky Top, the former Tennessee star just laughed.

"Man, come on, now," Martin said. "I'm a Volunteer, man, so Rocky Top is my song. USC is probably one of the best, most recognizable fight songs in all of college football. Both are favorites of mine."

Meh, Kiffin helped build the USC offense before Tee even got there. They may run the same system, but Bama does it immensely better.

Yeah I think soft would probably be the last thing anyone should call Hurd

Yea - the "USC Offense" was run by Chow and passed down to Sark/Kiffin while Tee was still playing in the CFL.

Hahaha for real - he has some "negatives", but being soft ain't one of them.

Be like Helfrich talking about how Chip Kelly adopted much of what they do at Oregon and took it with him to the NFL.

Wait. You're telling em that a guy who ran the offense at USC for 10 years, runs the same offense now at his current school?

Tee, sorry he's using his own stuff rather than using your offense from Kentucky.

What Tee is essentially admitting that, as USC OC, he runs Lane Kiffin's offense.
