I know he's done a LOT as a player and coach and has the right to do whatever he pleases considering his resume, but man i feel bad for that team right now.

Spurrier went out like a warrior in TS. You could tell he was giving it his all to win that game.

Loved him as long as I've known about him. Not many coaches can go mid season still on great terms with a school and fanabase

He should be celebrated. Who cares if it was mid-way through the season.

Understood. He's not one of those whiney bastards like Bowden, and doesn't place himself above the program.

This is his way of giving the coaches a chance to pull a Dabo....I guess. This also give USCe a chance to put feelers out and he doesn't have to lie to recruits.

He should finish the season, but this team can do no worse without him, and might do better.

Your problem is Spurdog made it possible for your program to fall in the first place.

I'm glad his final game against LSU came in BR and LSU rolled out the red carpet for the ole ball coach and SC. Many a coach has retired or been fired after playing LSU thru the years. Sad to see it happen this way but glad we got to beat him one last time in Tiger Stadium.

He's getting to go-out his own way ... by his own hand. He's da man, always will be.

It was time. He knew it was outta hand and he raised expectations here and I suspect he understands where we fans were coming from lately.

Also, with Maryland firing their guy and Under Armour backing them for the next replacement, and Sark getting fired ... we had to make a move on the market now. It was agreed there could be no more waiting to get the right guy we have to get in the mix now and let it be known that expectations are high and we're serious about out football program.

The HBC will always be da man to us though.
