Vanderbilt has three manageable games coming up. They can't afford anything less than a 2-1 stretch.

Vandy needs to go 3-0 over the next 3. Anything else will end their tourney chances.

Actually a 9-9 conference record would put Alabama at 18-12 instead of 20-12. That would require running the table at home and stealing a road win at either Florida, LSU, Kentucky, or Georgia. Certainly possible but very difficult at those road venues. If they do get to 18-12 and 9-9 in the league and win at least one in the SEC tourney to insure no worse than a 19-13 record, they have a great shot at an at large bid. There is plenty of precedent for teams with 19-13 record making the NCAA tournament...especially ones with 4 or 5 Top 50 wins and only one bad loss.

Just being a side note in the tournament conversation during Avery's first year is enough for me.

I agree. If Alabama finishes at 18-12 (9-9), and 1-1 in the SEC tourney they're very likely to get in with all the top 25 wins and what would likely be an RPI in 40s.

That doesn't leave any room for error though so it would still be a slight surprise. Though, I will say it's already a bigger surprise that they're in this position in the first place.

South Carolina is probably going to win the conference by virtue of having easily the easiest conference schedule.

I don't think they'll win it.

They do have the easiest schedule of any contender by far, though.

Nah. The bubble is very weak, and you guys still have that home game against Kentucky to get a big win.

Teams are secretly hoping Kentucky beats SCAR and aTm these next couple of Saturdays. They need that Kentucky win to still matter.

... which is why so many of you are not sure who your biological fathers are - because your mothers are easy.

And hey, I'm not judging here, just sayin'.

Anyways, the whole "easy schedule" thing is a bit overplayed. Makes most of y'all come across as excuse making pussies. ESPECIALLY when some, if not all, of you have lost to teams we've bea'en.

Put an asterisks on it or something - see how that works out for you.

"SCAR has an easy schedule ... boo hoo."

Good thread and very objective, which is an anomaly on here.

It's looking less like a possibility and more like a certainty.

If you do make the tourney, could you self-ban please?
