1. Bama-Same ole song and dance
2. LSU-Exceeded expectations
3. USCe-a much improved team, legit D and QB
4. UGA-solid, exceeded expectations, 2 legit QB's, WR's answered that question
5. AU-legit D, OL and QB need some work
6. MSU-stout D, O on par...Fitz looked pretty decent
7. TAMU-TBA
8. Arky-2 good RB's...D issues
9. Tenn-TBA
10. Miss-BAD defense, O looked good as did Patterson
11. Mizz-Love the O, worst SEC defense in decades
12. UK-some legit skill players, but not SEC quality anywhere else
13. UF-loved the D, worst offense I've ever seen at UF...or anywhere else in the SEC in the last few year. If you combined UF's offense with Mizzou's D, it might be the worst team in college football history
14. Vandy-no running game, decent passing...sub-par D. Might climb this list though...hard to tell between 10-14

Auburn will have a chance to make its case next week, so I have no issues being behind USCe or LSU this week.

But in the interim, not sure why UGA is ahead of us.

Because they didn't have any glaring issues as AU did..and played a better opponent. I f***ing hate UGA. Way more since I joined this board. I hope they never win another game. But I'm not blind.

Eh, first games out. I wouldnt shake Auburn down that far just because you think the QB needs work. Every team has something/s to work on.

I didn't see any glaring "D issues" from Arkansas. That's not to say there won't be, I just don't see them yet. Arkansas gave up a 4th quarter TD with their third string in the game. Before that FAMU never even sniffed midfield.

On the whole though, the SEC looked good this week. Except Florida. frick those pussies. Oh, and Mizzou. That was a horrible performance and they should feel bad.

Agree... OP a little overreaction

Our defense held GA Southern to 56 yards total offense until less than a min left in the game where we had walk-ons out there. They got 22 yards on two plays against the cheerleaders. Our front 7 was seriously nasty. I get that its Southern but they have given other teams some serious fits.

Offense stumbled out of the gate but lots of playmakers out there. We did not have our battering ram running back and Stidham had not played a college game in almost two years.. He settled down late and showed some improvements.

Auburn is still at #2.

Not that this thread matters but our d gave up 7 points. We've got tons of things to improve on but i don't see how anyone who watched our game would single out the d as an issue.

I'm not ready to argue that AU is better than UGA

But I'm not sure how you watched a very pedestrian performance against App State and came away with the conclusion they didn't have things to work out. You're also overstating our "glaring" issues, a bit, I think.

Eh, who gives a shite you can put Georgia last if you want to because no matter what any of us think, the upcoming games will decide where everyone should be ranked.

I was unable to watch 100% of these games but I watched some of all of them. Just based on those observations.

On, UF, you don't think the lack of production on offense hurt the defense? Also, 2 pick 6's were pretty nice

Arky looked ok on D, but I just did not come away from that performance feeling the D was going to be awesome this year, as I did after watching AU

OP.

Should put an asterisk next to Auburn because our entire fun game revolves around Pettway.

He did not play.

That is like judging LSU without Guice.

Everyone is way overreacting to USCe. NC state is not a great team. USCe will be solid but putting them ahead of UGA and Auburn is ridiculous, even for a power ranking.

Everyone did the same thing last season after Georgia beat a mediocre North Carolina squad. Any kind of rankings this early on are prettt pointless

No one did. Simply, they weren't an issue in the first game. Austin and/or the O line were more concerning so far.
