UofArkansas Union evacuated, bomb squad called

Suspicious package was sniffed by dog and he alerted. Union has been evacuated and bomb squad on the scene.
Hope for a big false alarm.

There were probably 3 or 4 times during my career at UGA where a bomb squad was called to check out a backpack or package on the sidewalk and it never amounted to anything other than a careless students forgetting to grab their things.

They've now asked evacuation of other areas after bomb squad has arrived.

It probably is, but the days of the population dropping in half when the summer session starts is long over for Fayetteville. There are quite a few students at the U of A over the summer thanks to the low cost of living and chance to rack up some credits to graduation over the summer.
That and we have a fairly good sized out of country student body who are attracted by Walmart and an affordable education.
