The rest are pretty much shite.
They call Alabama's band the "Million-Dollar" band for some stupid reason. I would pay them $1,000,000 to not bother to perform.
Texas A&M's Band is boring as shite as well.
If I wanted to watch marching formations over, and over...then I would move to North Korea. (They seriously need to get over themselves in this regard).
The rest of the SEC really needs to step it up as well.
Scholarships are pretty cheap if you like to actually contribute back to your University. Either way, these guys work their asses off to provide everyone a great stadium experience.
Not bad for some 17-20 year olds.
Can't wait until September guys!
Put up...or shut the frick up!

I have to admit, The Golden Band From Tigerland was going to shite under our past director. But we now have a new guy and I've been impressed. It's now actually enjoyable watching the halftime shows

Auburn and LSU have very similar bands/music. I really noticed it when I went to the Sugar Bowl this January

Only people who played in the band give any fricks about the bands.

Leave it to auburn to have a hype video playing in the stadium before their fricking band comes out

Auburn no doubt has the best band.
LSU's band is good but the hookers with the huge hair and drag queen makeup that stand in front of the band ruin it. Same with Bama's majorettes. They look like they belong in a cheap drag show.
I got no use for the Aggie Band. I know know the school and alumni love the tin soldiers precision marching, but they've played the same music over and over and over for years. Doesn't anybody else get tired of hearing "The Battle of the Green Berets" on a continuous loop?

Mister Tee.....You have no clue what you're talking about.
BTW, I have Drum Corps, (Madison Scouts) College Marching band (LSU) and Pipe Band (McGuires PB, Santa Rosa P&D, BR Caledonian P&D) experience.
LSU has fallen off drastically in the last 5 years or so (Ever since Roy King took over and currently Dennis Llinas) They're not even in the Top 3 of the SEC West, more less the entire SEC)
If there was an actual SEC marching band contest with qualified DCI judges, I doubt if they would even finish in the top half of the conference. (Judging by what I've seen on the field the last few years)
Many LSU Band Alums (Including myself) now refer to them as "The Boring Band from Tiger Land."

One of these days I might have to go down to Baton Rouge and improve the gene pool in Louisiana.
All the Golden Girls I have seen been top notch

UF's isn't that good, large, and is mic'd up.
I'm not saying ours is elite or something but it's a lot better than Vandy's, UK's, and Mizzou's I know.

band shite talk!
Copenhaver Band Hall got field turf Spring 2016. Swygert & Associates constructed the new band hall a few short years ago. the facility takes a back seat to none in the SEC.
400 marching Carolinians need no mic'd up sound in a stadium - I'm looking at you Florida & Tennessee :shakeshead:
their called The Mighty Sound of the Southeast for a reason ~
Carolina, LSU & Arkansas were 3 of the only 8 athletic bands to be recognized at this year's national conference for marching bands - SECBIG3
