Does this signal a turnaround for their season? They obviously still have work to do, but this is without a doubt the best they've looked all season. At 4-2, with games remaining against Arky, Ole Miss, A&M, UGa, Idaho and Bama, can they salvage a decent season? I think they beat Idaho obviously and I certainly don't count them out against any of the others except Bama. Suppose they lose to Bama and only one other of their remaining opponents and go 8-4. What is the perception? They were preseason top 10 and playoff contenders, but no one could really call an 8-4 season a disaster, so what is the psyche of the program and what do people think of them going into 2016? Does it depend on the bowl result?

They could get ole miss, uga, at home. And Arkansas is a winnable game imo so 7-5 8-4 is not out of reach

Clever. 4 wins with 6 games left gives them a shot regardless

Shouldn't count us out against Bama either. Their offense is average statistically, the game is at Auburn. It's a rivalry so you never know what will happen and Auburn will play their hearts out.

They have a chance to make a bowl but that's about it. 7-5 is absolute best case scenario.

Just watched the game and if Kentucky's WR's weren't mediocre then they win easily. Couple their countless drops with Towles making the incorrect read on the interception and you have the perfect recipe for the loss.

You're effectively saying that given you were able to outlast Kentucky you should win against ole miss, Georgia, Arkansas and have a shot at home against Bama because they will play their hearts out.
I guess the heart for the defense is in Jordan Hare somewhere.

If Gus were to pull that kind of mid season turn around. He should win coach of the year.

Auburn fricking sucks and they know it. They got 4 losses out of their remaining games and will continue to be mediocre under Gus Malzahn.

Really if we start blocking and tackling better, we can salvage the season.

Third and 22? Third and 17? Third and 9? Third and 8?

On defense it is not a scheme issue. It is a lack of Savvy and Football IQ. Lack of contain, poor pursuit angles, etc. I'm not sure this can be corrected week to week at this point.

On offense, the line is just not playing at 2010 or 2013 level. Barber is a man. Kerryon is legit. Louis is solid.White is getting better week to week.

I think we could upset somebody with some breaks, but I don't see us evolving to a contender.

That's literally Muschamp's game plan: stop the run, and force the quarterback to make lots of short passes to get down the field.

Problem is we got forced into soft zone because our line sucks, but we had more points when the clock hit zero so I don't particularly care at this point.

I wouldn't get excited about winning that game . Auburn was lucky that UKs WRs couldn't catch , the field goal and kick off kicker sucked .

A coach who was picked to win the conference and make the playoff that touted his wonder boy QB all offseason, who then goes 8-4 at best does not deserve to be in coach of the year discussion. The man beat an average Kentucky team by 3. Sure it's better than a loss but there are only maybe 3 SEC teams auburn beats with the way they played last night. Fortunately for them they were playing one of those three.

It might surprise you each to realize Auburn had 9 drops to Kentucky 8. For everyone screaming Auburn was lucky to hold on you must have watched the second half because Auburn was one play away from shutting the door early in that game.

Great game by UK played hard and showed real promise, congrats to Auburn for being better.
