Damn, hate to lose him. No idea how he'll do for football but I enjoyed his baseball calls.

He did some Western Kentucky play by play. Listened on his website and its good. Sounds like he was the studio host for Kentucky football and did baseball and basketball for UK.

Was about to post this. Neil Price is smooth as butter. He could call and make listening to Kentucky baseball like you would not believe. State fans are going to like him. When Tom Leach ever decides to retire (which I hope it is a long time), I would want Neil Price to replace him.

Honestly, Neil Price's voice reminds me of Kentucky athletics more so than Tom Leach. With Tom being play by play for basketball and football the majority of the time he was on the air I was either watching it on TV or was there.

Just listened to some audio and he reminds me of Tennessee pbp guy and former JP sports announcer Bob Kesling

His wife was in the front office of the WBB program at UK, so wondering if she gets a similar job at State?
Sorta surprised UK let Neil go as did not hear anything bad about him and not sure who they have in place to replace him? Wonder if it has something to do with the JMI deal but seems a weird move.

He's getting a big promotion moving from WBB and Baseball to State's main guy. I fail to see the behind the door conspiracy here when we know Tom Leach isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
State fans will enjoy him. He's been great in his time at Kentucky.

He's very good. Much better than our current play by play guy. I wish he had stayed and we got rid of Leach.
