Yeah, pretty cool thanks for posting. Did you know David Greene and David Pollack played pee-wee football together?

He's had quite a bit of free time recently as I recall....

Not like he has anything else to do these days.

Some of y'all are so jaded. From watching that vid Malcolm's entire demeanor changes when asked about his reading and book club. He considers it an accomplishment and should. That book club has likely helped him more than he's said as now he has incentive. It's not about the content but reading regularly and having folks to talk too.
I applaud anyone willing to better themselves. Takes courage to do what he's doing and admit that he wasn't a great reader when he first arrived.

Good for him. Reading is my drug.

It will only help him later in life. How many times do we hear of athletes going broke? The dirty little secret no one talks about is that part of it is due to them being functionally illiterate and forced to rely on the goodwill of agents and others. But reading not only helps them in that regard it sharpens the mind and forces you to focus.
Even reading junk novels forces you to develop an attention span and engage parts of your brain you don't otherwise engage and of course it helps in terms of developing one's imagination.
As for germans.... hell given there's a game on and it's news to a lot of us, don't even sweat it.
