Stop me if you've heard this before:

The football season is still young, only a couple of weeks in. Georgia, led by their "Heisman candidate" (see: Aaron Murray, Gurley) gets a ton of praise from the press and on message boards, leading to a Top 10 ranking and the Week 1 National Championship. Then, as the season progresses Georgia fails to live up to everyone's expectations.

I realize Clemson is a defensive Powerhouse, look how good they were stopping the run in 2013:

vs. Georgia - 222 yards allowed

vs. NC State - 165 yards allowed

vs. Syracuse - 323 yards allowed

vs. FSU - 121 yards allowed

vs. South Carolina - 140 yards allowed

I don't think UGA will get hit by the injury bug 2 years in a row though.

UGA is legit this year.

You're forgetting that we actually have a competent DC now. Go back and look at what UGA did to Clemson in the 2nd half.

You forgot they shutdown Boyd, Watkins, and all that offense they returned. Oh wait....

It's too early for shitty threads

Also if you're questioning if Gurley is a Heisman candidate

Post history says OP is obsessed with UGA, but also doesn't like Bama or USC.

I'm guessing UT.

Who said anything about having a great season? You do realize that the people really boosting our ego, are actually other fan bases and the media, right?

Sorry someone pissed in your cereal this morning. Hopefully life gets better for you. Go seek help before inflicting any wounds on yourself.

That's a solid guess. I always thought he was an AU fan.

If I'm a uga fan I am only cautiously optimistic about defense. Great performance but everything tells you that there will be growing pains in secondary replacing all sorts of people and lack of depth.

We are but the fact that we saw improvement from half to half is enough to get us excited. Plus the blitzes he was dialing up we're sexy as hell. Oh and we intercepted a pass. So that's new.

Thanks for giving him more ammo.... CG is getting it done in Louisville, but we didn't miss a step and possibly gained one by hiring Pruitt away from FSU.

If you will look over into the GSB you will find more than several topics worried about SC this week and pointing out the ridiculousness of having #1 votes in both polls.

No we didn't. A couple of the runs were up the middle, but the majority of the yards came on runs outside. You didn't watch the game, did you?

True and honest post. I think MOST of us are excited, but cautious. Either way, there is little doubt that it is better than last years defense, thank goodness!

We actually have a lot of depth at DB, they are extremely fast, just young.

Also, we were 110th last year in interceptions....not really "losing" much in the secondary...

but congrats on the druggie brah
