He's interviewing for the same position at LSU.

Better coach than recruiter. He never made waves at UGA but right now sentiment is that we should have done better recruiting receivers in recent years.

If he stays, I wouldn't hate it. If he goes, I wouldn't hate it.

This just seems like a raise and remain opportunity for an opposing WR coach.

meh. Won't be terribly missed, but didn't do a horrible job or anything. Like others said- not a good recruiter.

All I care about is if he is a good technical coach. Henry really excelled at that. Not worried about recruiting because Frank will recruit the skill position guys as well as the LA guys, and for whatever reason LA has been producing WR's like crazy lately.

You guys should really consider Steve Spurrier Jr.

Sure, if you like WR's to be blockers

Really good technical coach who demands a lot from his guys. If they take a wrong step on their routes or miss a block, they won't play. By far the worst recruiter on UGA's staff. I doubt Georgia will go all out to keep him if LSU offers more.

My thoughts exactly. I wont be upset if he goes.

LSU has their best recruiters already in place, so I'd think they are looking to bring on someone who can really coach guys up. Sounds like, from yall, that he's at least a good coach.

Pretty much what everyone here has said. Good coach, poor recruiter. Wouldn't be terribly sad to see him go, but I'm not hoping to kick him out of town either.

You don't need to be a good recruiter when you coach em up like Ball does. I'd be sad to see him go.

The thing about Ball as a recruiter is that most everybody likes him, but he's just not very charismatic. When he has to go head to head for a kid with a Billy Napier, Dameyune Craig, Jeff Scott, or Lawrence Dawsey, he just isn't going to win very often, and Bobo and BMac couldn't do it for him every time.

Maybe he'd do better at LSU with less of those guys around him.

Sounds like a situation where both teams stand to benefit. We need a technically sound coach because LA is producing WR's at an astounding rate and they all come because of Frank WIlson anyway, and UGA could stand to gain a better recruiter. Everyone would be happy.

That's about it right there. If he takes your spot, I don't think you'll be disappointed and we'll get to hopefully improve our recruiting ability at least just a tad. Win-win!
