Which one has been the biggest disappointment this year? Both units have had issues outside of their control. LSU with injuries to the O-line, and UGA with Suspensions.

Both were supposed to be greatly improved with LSU getting an "upgrade" at QB and UGA return 10 starters from a "top 5" unit last year.

I'll go with UGA they have some really talented players on that side of the ball and even after the suspensions were lifted their Defense seems to be getting worse. I expected LSU to continue to suck on offense. Their staff on that side of the ball is mediocre.

at least we have good running backs. uga just has jarvis jones. we lost 3 out 5 of our offensive lineman so i think we have an excuse.

And we still miss the following from the skill positions:

Blue
Johnson
Dural.

No one expected our offense to even be top 50. UGA fans thought they had the best defense in the league, though

10 of 11 UGA defensive starters will play on Sunday according to some, but their defense is rated below Vandy's. I think UGA's defense, but LSU's offense is close.

LSU's offense has been another level of inept.
At least UGA's D doesn't look like everyone on the field is confused at all times

That is a really good question. I'm not sure how you can choose one over the other. They are both terrible and have been equally disappointing, so I call it a toss up

LSU is 8th in total offense and 8th in scoring offense. UGA is 9th in total defense and 8th in scoring defense. So those stats are almost identical.
I would say Georgia's D has been more disappointing because of the expectations. We heard all offseason about how Georgia would have a top 5 defense that was on par with Bama and LSU. They said they might have the best front 7 in the league. All the suspended players are back and just not doing much. They have first round talent everywhere but can't get it together.

It's extremely disappointing because if the defense had played the way we expected we'd be really tough to beat.

LSU lost 2 of their best offensive lineman. Skill players are easy to replace, but QBs and O-lineman are detrimental losses. Though the the LSU WR talent is the lowest its been this millenium. I think with a new OC LSU still has enough talent to be a top 30 offense.

UGA talked a lot of smack this off season about having a Bama/LSU type defense and possibly being better. Grantham was supposed to be one of the best DC's etc.

Jarvis Jones, John Jenkins, Alec Ogletree and Shawn Williams will probably all be first round draft picks next year. How this unit turned into a swiss cheese defense is beyond me

They can't be any worse than the WRs we have now and Dural was expected to be one of our faster WRs.

UGA defense. LSU offense wasn't even that good last year when they were destroying everybody. Their defense and special teams made a ton of plays that gave LSU's offense great field position and LSU's offense was just incredibly efficient scoring TDs inside the red zone. Their offense was never that great of a unit.
