RIGHT NOW - that win in week one is by far the strongest OOC win by any team in the SEC

unless the Gamecocks find a way to beat Clementine the last week of the season, that won't change

narrative is a little different than, "good job beating a 4-8 team by 1 point guys" that we saw earlier...

NC State isn't a bad win by South Carolina.

very impressive as well

but ND has one loss by one point to the N0. 4 team in the country & steam-rolled a team that just knocked someone out of the top 10

Irish should be top 15 this week

we'll see

Notre Dame has rolled through their schedule, including a win over MSU who beat #7 Michigan. People just don't want to admit that UGA has quality wins.

I don't see many people on this board denying that UGA has a great team.

that is not what this is about

we have seen numerous posts & threads that diminish that win for UGA

right now; ND is playing well enough to get into the post-season discussion

with Oklahoma and Michigan losing & Ohio State already sporting a loss; if ND wins out; they are likely in the op 4

they have 4 HUGE games left to play:

USC in 2 weeks after a bye

NC State

Miami

Stanford

no at all unrealistic that they win out - more likely that they drop one or two - but winning out is not so far fetched for them based on what we have seen to date

Hard to say this because some teams just aren't the same after they get wrecked, see FSU. Bama can't control future outcomes having dismantled FSU and shouldn't have their win diminished because of the level of the beat down.

Here’s the deal. While I agree that the win vs ND looks better every week, for UGA fans to keep starting threads about this and other accomplishments is just screaming “look at me, momma! I ate ALL my vegetables!”

These threads carry much more weight when started by fans of other teams who take notice of something good and then post about it.

As it is, this incessant begging for respect is having the complete opposite effect, and is really making out fan base as a whole look like a bunch of sniveling bitches demanding respect in a whiny voice.

I’m not looking at you specifically dcbl. There are plenty of UGA fans doing this. Let’s try as fans to project a little more like the team and our head coach. Quiet confidence is a lot more impressive than loudly crying for respect when people can tell you are really worried that you aren’t at all confident.

Tl/dr - let’s behave as though we are sexually competent to satisfy multiple women at once instead of trying really hard to convince the prom queen you aren’t going to skeet on her dress the instant she gets her tits out.

you are correct, but this is a message board

fricking with people for fun is part of the deal...

anyway - we (UGA) won't get "respect" unless and until we win the WLOCP & DSOR

might as well enjoy the ride...

ND isn’t getting into the playoff even if Bama, Washington, Clemson, and Penn State are all 1 loss confercne champions. ND has handicapped themselves by not joining a conference. They are essentially irrelevant in the current format we have unless they are undefeated. They have little room for error.

not true, depends on who the one loss is for those teams and when they lose.

ND isn’t getting in over a 1 loss conference champion. Doesn’t matter who the loss is to. ND already lost a game. They don’t have any extra data points to mitigate that loss like teams in conferences do. It is pretty simple.

that could go either way

one factor will be who does WA & Penn St lose to?

Another factor is, what are the score differentials against common opponents? (yes, transitive football is a factor for the selection committee)

with the Big 12 shitting the bed (OK losing to ISU) and Ohio St already having lost to OK...

If USC does really well (10-2 or 9-3) and ND wins out; they are absolutely in the mix
