Florida walk-on linebacker Cristian Garcia helped break up a sexual assault of an incapacitated woman outside a Gainesville bar early Thursday morning, according to a police report.

Garcia, a walk-on linebacker who forced a fumble in Florida's spring game and works at 101 Cantina, popular bar in Gainesville's Midtown strip of bars and restaurants, came across 34-year-old Christopher Shaw assaulting an intoxicated woman behind a dumpster around 2:20 a.m. on Thursday. Garcia and another employee intervened, stopping the assault, and Shaw fled.

The biggest part of the story was the forced fumble in the spring game.

Very good reporting

You really lose faith in the human race sometimes. I know everyone is blaming Hillary Clinton for the fall of western civilization, but the way people treat other people in this world is just beyond comprehension.

Isn't 34 years old a bit old for a FSU player?

Great job by this kid. I feel like shite for thinking this, but did it cross anyone else's mind about the irony if he has like 20 tackles and an interception against UT?
