Does anyone have a link or the story about the two UF recruiters supposedly offering cash to a recruit?

What recruiting? Mac can't even get 1 top 100 recruit signed and he is recruiting to the University of Florida. His downfall. ....

Don't worry. they are going to close with twelve 4-star recruits on NSD.

Ranked 31st in recruiting rankings, and we're paying players. Makes sense?

That's actually a pretty hilarious thread. Ol' Skibby bibby is taking credit apparently.

No idea whatsoever about these allegations.
But what I do think is pertinent is McElwain's recruiting ability.
Leave aside any debate about how good a coach he is on the field, or at developing players (yeah, yeah 2 straight SEC East titles from the little sisters of the poor).
Thing is he is expected to compete with schools that pretty much finish top ten in recruiting every year.
And he is just not doing it. Not sure about how I'd rate him as an on the field coach compared to the rest of his East counterparts, but no matter how good he isn't Bill Snyder level at that. Come to think of it Snyder probably is better at finding two and three star jewels than McElwain could even hope to be (and finding the right jucos).
My take is he is just not going to be able to take Florida where they want to go, and they will be looking in a year or two.
Guess it could change, but unless he shakes up his staff and gets some dynamite recruiters it seems inevitable. Recruiting on par with Tennessee and South Carolina (if that does happen) just isn't good enough for a school with UF's advantages - and who they see as their real rivals.

He can't even recruit coaches. 2 spots open for weeks and a 3rd on the way. He's as bad a coach as WM and a worse recruiter. He got lucky these 2 years and his luck is about to run out.
