From the same site that broke the story of his suspension...

LINK

quote:

Insiders tell GN that Florida has had preliminary discussions with the NCAA and that school officials feel relatively good that Will Grier will win his appeal and be eligible at the beginning of the 2016 season.

Monday, UF announced that Grier had been suspended for a year because he tested positive for a performance-enhancing drug. There is basically zero chance he returns this season, but the hope at Florida is that he will be allowed to compete for the entirety of next season. As it is, he would be allowed to return for Game 7 next fall.

If he's not juicing still, we'll be fine.

Him coming back at the beginning of the season is the best case scenario. If it's true he didn't know... The ncaa may see it as mitigated. Or the NCAA sees more money coming in when Florida wins and will let shite slide... Just like they let all of the other dudes off the hook.... All about that money

The NCAA will have to be vigilant since it sounds like it's institutional with ol' Butterteeth.

I've heard there's a possibility that the suspension gets the Noah Spence treatment

So he's coming back after coming down off the juice? I think the SEC will survive

I guess if you cry in a staged press conference, the REC will cut you a little slack.

Through appeal process will it come out what he actually took?

If it really was some shite from gnc I'll feel a little more confident he'll win

Seems frickin crazy anything out of gnc should get you in that kind of trouble

Even if that is true, the next 3 games are the most crucial in deciding the east. We're still screwed either way.

With all the drama this week, it'll be hard to overcome I think. Especially in Death Valley.

We're not screwed. I'd call SCar and Vandy pretty safe wins given how they are right now. If we win one of either LSU or Georgia, we win the East. If we lose both and Georgia drops one more SEC game, we win the East. But Georgia currently looks winnable. Their loss of Chubb is much worse than our loss of Grier.
