LF Skycam Recap
Courtesy of Cforester821 over on the Rant. Every one of Fournettes carries in the UF game.

After watching this video, UF is a very solid and well disciplined defense. Your safety #42 Neal is legit and made some great open field tackles on Fournette, which he probably takes to the house if Neal doesn't make the play. Very good player.

That defense will keep you guys in every game you play this season. Its messed up that you guys arent getting more love from the media.

Florida #42 is the anti-Auburn #23.

Elite CBs and an elite DT in Bullard. Overall, Florida is a top 10 defense in the nation.

I think we had a couple of missed assigments on the secondary that lost the game in the first half. I think this is in no small way because of Fournette. They were all more worried about him than Brandon Harris.
I expect to play better D if we were to play LSU again. Although our OL is truly not championship caliber yet, and that is what will come up short this year. Treon is good enough to win with the D we have.

This is what makes LSU's offense so tough to defend. It's not fancy, and it's not gimmicks, they just line up and say, "stop us". Teams have to commit 7, minimum, to the box to stop Fournette. When that happens, Harris and the receivers are good enough to beat one-on-one coverage more often than not.

Some questionable decisions and great play calls won this game for LSU.

On the fade to Dupre, Qunicy Wilson plays the WR like he's running an out or a corner route and cuts under the route and Dupre has no problem.

On the Flea Flicker, VH3 gets caught looking in and has to cover tremendous ground to make a play on the ball, this was a really great play call.

On the Hail Mary just before the end of the half I think Jalen Tabor gets turned completely around and loses track of the ball and WR and allows Dupre an easy catch and score. Great play by Harris escaping pressure and letting his receivers get down field.

Two of your scores came from gimmicks.

Whatever makes you feel better. I'll give you the fage FG, but lining up Fournette in wildcat is not a "gimmick". He hasn't attempted a pass in his career. UF knew exactly what was coming on that play.

I'm talking about the Flea Flicker that set that up.

And having Fournette get a running start in the wildcat without getting a false start penalty is pretty gimmicky

Great video. It also really highlights how ridiculous LF7 is...most RBs would have gotten half the yardage he got.

LSU has run one flea flicker all season. That's called a wrinkle. If you're trying to call LSU's offense gimmicky, I'm going to sit back and laugh at you.

A missed call by the refs = a gimmick?

Like I said before, whatever makes you feel better.

So is getting a TD on a punt return with a clear as day block in the back.

There was no Hail Mary before the end of the half. It was a broken play for sure, but no question Harris was throwing to Dupre specifically after he escaped pressure. Hail Mary is the wrong terminology for it.

That's called a gimmick. Gimmicks are fine, you've got the best back to lace up since at least Adrian Peterson and Cameron can get creative to take advantage of it. It was a smart, well executed play, but still a gimmick.

It was a joke, relax. Fournette didn't need a false start to score.

If LSU does the standard play instead of the fake fg, they kick a fg, very high percentage option and still win the game by 3. Fakes and flea flickers are legit plays in the arsenal, and just like relatively rare muffed punts and punt return for a score that accounted for half of UF's points are part of the game.

Wrong. roadgator annoys me to the point I don't want to say anything nice about Florida, but their defense is awesome.

I agree, and I'm not taking anything away from LSU's offense, but those plays are gimmicks
