UCLA's is healthy and much tougher to run against and moving to a 4-3 will also aide in that respect. Last years debacles at stoppibg the run was do to injuries. The secondary is solid abd deep. LB play will above average but nit what UCLA has been used to. This year UCLA is at it deepest it has scene in years going more than 2 deep.
Oline is solid yet very thin only going 7 deep without having to delve into the unknown.
RB's will be strong and might be dominant if UCLA is unable to find replacements for it 3 top receivers from last year. Theo Howard and coverted CB Ishmal Adams will add speed and elusiveness that have been lacking since Mora has been coach.
Mora has not been able to put all the pieces together on both sides of the ball since he has been at UCLA. Last year was probably his best chance but at pkayoff birth but major injuries to his defense was devistating. UCLA had enough to overcome any freshman QB mistakes but could not overcome the injury bug.
Texas A&M better hope someone else is calling the redzone offense as Mazzone is not called Nozone for a reason. He will get you up and down the field no problem. But hope he is scoring from outside the 30.
TAM just had an embarrassing weekend and had to suspend to assistant coaches from there presentation at this week's chalk talk. This was supposed to aide in getting more women engaged in football but they failed miserably in their efforts with misogynistic song lyrics and sexual enuendos slides. Not a good thing for prep week.
TAM should be able to handle UCLA receivers one on one but watch out as Willis in know as PI specialist when beat. Should have made him a safety. Palamolu is the new OC and it did not take long for the offense to catch on. The offense came to fall camp prepared and that helped a great deal.
Should be a goid game as UCLA is favored by 3. Should enrage Texas for being digs at home.

98th against the run.
If health is your main reasoning then A&M's LBs are finally healthy too.

Might be dominant yet Perkins (1300+) is gone. I think Soso can be a plus guy, but like you said the OL is thin. I think I'll believe it when I see it.

UCLA was 16th, 2nd, & 42nd in Redzone Conversions over the last 3 years. 59th, 61st, & 14th in TD%. That is a far cry from "No Zone".

How does this have any relevance to the game?

A&M is -3. How can you be so wrong constantly?

The UCLA kicker said the largest crowd he has played in front of us 1,000 but he said he is not worried. This kid might pee his pants in front of 100,000.

This was about a month ago. It had no bearing on actual prep as it was before we started fall practice. It wasn't "designed to get women involved" it is a tradition that's gone on for 30 years and Aggie women are already super into football. The jokes and song were all recycled. They'd done them for years and it wasn't a big deal until this stupid PC culture y'all created in California infected the rest of our once-great nation.

UCLA is one of those teams you don't want to schedule early in the season, they have a habit of coming east and embarrassing P5 schools.

I think TAM has the edge on WR as Kirk is a big tim threat. However UCLA is stacked at RB 5 deep. FB is a big surprise in camp he showed soft hands and 6'2" 280+ is quick on his feet hand has been referred to as the bowling ball as he does not shy away from contact.

Why not just change the thread title to Longwhorn and LSU trolls post in here ?

Yes UCLA was shitty against the but had devastating injuries that required to go deep into the bench. The only group to survive were the DBs. TAM will be shitty running the ball if Sumlin allows Mazzone to use read option lead by a QB who can't run or no QB depth to be allowed to run. In that set up at UCLA RB still had hood run averages but I don't think you will fair that well. Thanks for taking Mazzone off our hands. Enjoy the same 5 plays over and over again.

UCLA will use both the huddle abd the spreads no huddle. UCLA is built to play both systems on defense and offense. On offense you might see a more traditional offense when inside either 20 and on short yardage situations. You might see a no huddle spread when the middle of the field is wide open. That is what we saw in the first two weeks of fall camp.

I heard the same BS from the South Carolina fans 2 years ago and ASU fans last year, except this year we get to see the beat down at home.

UCLA practices 60 miles east for fall camp where the temps were 103 to 107 so they are acclimated to the heat. No indoor temp controlled practice facilities.
