Seems like it falls on the 4th Saturday in October more than the 3rd lately. Is there some kind of loophole to this scheduling that they can schedule it on the 4th Saturday and still call it TSIO?

It is due to global warming.

There's no loophole, it's just what we call it.

RE: TSIO being actually on the FSIO.

It's kind of like calling someone a "corndog." We know they are not really a corndog, even if they kinda smell like one. Likewise, calling Auburn a cow-college is similar. They are not really a college for cows, we know that (we do know that ... don't we?).

Both of those examples, are metaphors... just like TSIO. Besides, Alabama and Tennessee own the conference historically and we run this stuff because we have the office in Birmingham. We call it what ever we like and the rest just nods their heads and salutes.

It's not whether it falls on the 4th, 5th, 10th or whatever. It's the NAME.
We played this game for eons on the 3rd saturday. When the SEC expanded the game was slotted to certain years where it would fall on the 4th saturday. I gues we should blame the SEC office some sort of vendetta against us.

In short, no matter when it falls, we couldn't care less, its called the 3rd saturday in October or to most just "the 3rd saturday"
