Is Trooper really going to replace Butch at Tennessee? Tony Barnhart seems to think so.

There's no way that will happen.

But if it does, I'm not sure if I'll ever lose my erection.

The guy can recruit his arse off, and is a great player motivator. But that is all he is. He is not even a good position coach, so how in the hell can he be a head guy?

Has there ever been a backward hat wearing, chest bumping bagman promoted to head coach? I think Trooper would be the first

They're actually going to just hire that towel that he waves. They view it as a "vast improvement" over the current situation.

This is a joke right? He is one hell of a recruiter but other than that he is just good for keeping flies and mosquitoes off everybody by whipping that towel around.

Trooper Taylor is a monster WR developer. I don't really know how, but every stop he has been at his Wide receivers perform at a high level.

The positives of this unexplained WR play is outweighed by the trainwreck and doom he brings with him.

No, but he's going to replace Azzanni at WR from what I've heard.

Butch is going to make some big changes this offseason. There is a segment of Vols fans that are still big Trooper fans, and he's got a big endorsement from the Berry family so it is what it is.

Quoting Butch Jones in from a couple years back:
quote:

We have been able to assemble a championship staff. When you look at the experience of these coaches over their careers, there is a great amount of continuity and familiarity. Our staff is comprised of teachers and mentors from all levels of football that have been successful and know what it takes to win championships. I have done my due diligence to compose what I feel is one of the best coaching staffs in the country, and I know everyone associated with Tennessee football will be proud of this staff.

Maybe it's not the staff he's assembled or the players he's recruited...

TigerBlood, Coach O in his prime was the first. Not only was he promoted to HC, he was hired as a HC with all this on his resume'.
