Treadwell vs. VH3

This could be the best WR-DB matchup since Julio vs. P2.
If memory serves me correctly, these two players were paired up in the Under Armour AA game back in 2013 with VH3 making some big plays against him.
Treadwell will get a lot of the attention and hopefully that frees up Engram, Atta-boy-jo, and Core.

You know how the Masters and NASCAR have multiple alternate channels that focus on one golf pairing or one driver? We need one of those for VH3 vs. Treadwell. Both are arguably the best at their position in the country.
I'm guessing there will be times when each of them get the better of the other. Should be fun to watch.

or since Amari Cooper vs VH3?

I'd be more excited about it if VH3 was 100%. Tabor has been our best corner this year and I'm honestly more excited to see Tabor against Treadwell than VH3 against Treadwell. I'm sure I would feel different if Vern was healthy.

Amari Cooper vs Tre'Davious White was more competitive. Chavis didn't keep White on him for some reason though.

We don't even know if VH3 will man up against him. He's been dealing with back spasms and with Tabor back he could be getting a lot of rest

I'd much rather see Tabor take on Treadwell with help and have VH3 shut down their #2 option.

This is how I feel, too. Tabor is just as talented as Hargreaves and I would rather him go up against Treadwell since he is 100% healthy. It'll be interesting to see how Geoff Collins uses the personel in the secondary against Mississippi's WR Corps

How deep is the UF secondary after Tabor and VH3?

Very talented. Neal and Marcus Maye are excellent safeties. Quincy Wilson and Poole will play Nickel and Dime. Expect to see a lot of nickel and dime packages to keep speed on the field and also our linebackers are banged up.

We have the deepest secondary in the country. Quincy Wilson steps in without too much of a drop off

I'm confused, Quincy is a corner and Neal is a starting safety

VH3 looked very tentative in his tackling. If he doesn't wrap Treadwell up, Ole Miss will bubble screen and run rubs all day.

There is virtually no drop off from VH3 to Tabor to Quincy Wilson. After those three you'll see Brian Poole (our starting nickel) play outside, but that is not ideal. Deiondre Porter may play some at corner, he's a solid special teams player but buried on the depth chart. He has good length and size but doesn't have a lot of experience playing.
At safety we have Keanu Neal. A big hitter, forces a lot of fumbles and has several career interceptions. The other safety is Marcus Maye. He is much better in run coverage than pass coverage. He will slide down and play some linebacker at times. We run a lot of nickel coverage. Four defensive linemen, 2 linebackers, and 5 DB's.
After Neal, Maye, and Poole at safety, you have a pretty big drop off. Marcell Harris is a pretty good special teams player but he's given up some passes at safety. He's more of a big hitter than a coverage guy. Duke Dawson and Nick Washington both will see some time and they have been decent, but there is still an obvious drop off from Keanu Neal and Marcus Maye to Duke Dawson and Nick Washington.
That being said, both guys have had some success. Duke Dawson has a pick six in his career and Nick Washington is a hard working guy that plays his butt off every play. We have a pretty deep defensive backfield.

VH3 is not 100% and won't be this Saturday. He's having back issues. It affected his play against the Vols; he was a lot less physical, which worked out because UT didn't throw the ball. I'd imagine he and Tabor will switch up on man coverage through the evening.

Except that Amari Cooper faced VH3 last year.

There is no drop off between VH3 Tabor and this Wilson dude? So Fla has three top ten pick corners on their team? Because I've had that beaten into my head that VH3 is without a doubt a top 3 corner in the country and lock to go top ten next draft.

Vern looks slow as hell out there, and timid. He has to be banged up.
