Traveling to Starkville for LSU game

These top sec stadium threads got me thinking...my buddies and I(LSU grads) take an away game RV trip from Dallas every season and we've decided on Starkville this year.
Does anyone have any advice or tips? Starkville looks pretty dumpy but I guess it's still a college town.
How's the party scene? We went to ole miss a couple years ago and I wasn't very impressed. Girls were hot there but so has been every other sec trip ive been on. Went to AR last year and we partied our balls off.
I guess I'm asking if we're gonna have fun or not? Do the cops there make you pour your beer in a cup? How late do bars stay open?
TIA

you're going to a football game on a fall saturday and getting trashed, I would hope you could make some fun for yourselves.

If I were going RVing, Starkville would be close to the last place I'd RV to.
Coming from someone who lives in Starkville.

I simply asked why he chose that particular trip you defensive goober

If he said they were making a trip to Athens, would you ask why? LSU is playing a baseball series in Starkville. How is it not obvious why they chose Starkville?

I'm not sure why you're so defenseive, I simply asked why they chose that trip out of the others on the schedule. geez

How interesting, not one single time in his OP did he mention baseball. How am I supposed to mindread what sport he means?

Considering they probably have 6 or 7 different options to choose from per year, no, it's not obvious why he would choose any one in particular.
Good Lord

All of the State fans left for the spring. They'll be back in August

Go to Right Field deck for the game. Roll a cooler in. Layer the beer on the bottom of the cooler and top with ice. Put a few cokes on top. Do this just to be safe. They might ask LSU fans to show their cooler.

Not bad. Not the best, but you can still have a good time. Their are 3 areas to consider. Cotton district - Bin 612, Rock Bottom, etc. These are small crowded bars, but probably the hottest chicks are there.
Ricks - Big bars, plenty of girls.
Downtown - Nice area of bars near Mugshots. The names change too many times for me to know, but the bars are solid.

Don't drink in cans or bottles in front of cops. Put that shite in a cup and dont worry about it.

How late do bars stay open?
1am. But Cowbells stays open to 3am, but you better get their before 12am or you'll never get in.
ETA: I just realized that you may be talking about the LSU/State Football game... All things apply except for the baseball information, obviously.

I find that "FUN" for any fan is pretty much what you make it no matter where you go.
If you are going to Starkville expecting Las Vegas, you might want to reconsider.
If you are going to Starkville expecting to be embraced and showered with LOVE by MSU fans, you'll need therapy.
If you are riding into Dodge with guns ablazing, you can expect to get your butt insulted. When in Rome, BEHAVE!
If you are going to Starkville to support your team, you can make your own fun...even if it's Burger King and Fries or cloudy skies. You don't even have to leave your RV to have that kind of fun!@ Respect is earned not a given because you have trolled into town in an RV.
I think you might be going to critique the venue which you are free to do...this is AMERICA.....but considering your comments about Oxford, I would question your ability to evaluate anywhere outside your RV objectively.
That is not a Starkville or Oxford problem; it is a fan from another school coming in with white gloves to find the dirt.
Believe it or not, Oxford and Starkville both manage to have some incredible fun despite your "implied" limitations for us.
The problem is your perception. Perception is between Bulls@#! and Reality in the dictionary so you pretty much can go either way with your assessment of "fan fun" on any given trip outside your frame of reference.

Our group went to Starkville in '13 (albeit for football, if this is about baseball.)
It is definitely a college town. The campus is pretty neat. Tranquil I'd say. They have a really nice Student Union area.
We sat on the State side Upper Deck. Decent seats. Long long ramp walk but I needed the exercise....
Only negative was when some jackhole rang his cowbell right behind my head after we got to our seats. Since I really was not expecting it, my head INVOLUNTARILY flinched to the right on the side of the ringing.
This person evidently took my head twitch as an insult and proceeded to ring his stupid cowbell RIGHT BEHIND MY EAR whenever Miss. State did ANYTHING halfway good.
It took all the self-restraint I could muster not to do or say anything. But it is kinda hard to watch a game with blinders on like that.
Thank Gawwwd, him and his crew left at halftime..
Never been to Dudy Noble though.
