Rankings were meaningless, but boosters info was interesting.

It is the AP top 25 from that week in September 2014, not a ranking of the boosters.

Article is pretty off...
T. Boone Pickens: Over $265 million in support of Oklahoma State football
Jerry Jones, Reynolds Family, Warren Stephens: Arkansas

Robert Dunlap is not nearly our most notable or generous donor; that honor should be bestowed upon Dickie Scruggs.

I always knew this. It's been a common practice for years for Bama boosters to meet after games in closed door. They routinely go over recruiting travel costs, coaches salaries, facilities and expectations. If the need to enlist more private planes they do so, if the budget needs upping, they do it. Bama makes sure that who gets put on the board that money will never be a problem and what's best for Alabama will never take a back seat to anything.
These are very very powerful men who honestly don't know how much money they have and they are not shy about signing a check for whatever is needed.

24. Missouri: Don Walsworth
This big-time booster heads up Walsworth Publishing, a Missouri-based publishing company that specializes in high school yearbooks. He played forward on the basketball team during his time at Mizzou, and after making his millions in the yearbook biz, Walsworth has given back generously. In 2013, he gave an $8.3 million gift to the school's athletic program. He's also an active political giver, usually supporting Missouri Democrats.

I occasionally play some golf with one of the guys on this list. Kinda neat.

I've had most of these guys over for Thanksgiving and Christmas. No big deal.

Yeah, any list without Pickens obviously didn't do its homework.
