I actually think LSU will probably have the best D for this upcoming season with Bama a close second. Who rounds out the top 5?

1) LSU
2) Bama
3) Georgia?
4) Florida?
5) Auburn?

Bama lost way too much to put them that high just yet.

They did but Saban has had at least a top 2 defense every year except 07. I also am not sold on the other teams passing them just yet...except LSU

We will have a very very good defense this year. Definitely the best since 2012.

I also think Georgia D will be very good this season.

Hopefully LSU will be very good.
I do understand Auburn has been recruiting some serious front seven players.
But alabama has been reloading for the last 10 years!
And will continue to do so.
When will SEC fans realize that there are no down years for alabama!
It's wishful thinking and has not happened!

I have no problem with saying that LSU will have the best defense this year.

Well, we return 10 starters and you lost Lawson.

That's how much better we are than you

But seriously though you guys gave up 41 touchdowns last year, we only gave up 23. That's a huge difference

I'm more concerned about losing Lawson than Adams. I think Derrick Brown ends up better than Adams, and we are legitimately stacked very deep with some serious talent at DT.

Pass rush is more of a question. Back 7 is as good as it's been since 04-05 though.

I feel pretty confident about our front 7, especially the LBs. DBs are another story.

Adams never seemed to live up to the hype but Brown seems like he's on his way.
