Top 5 Overrated SEC Players In NFL Draft

OVERRATED
quote:
Alabama OT Cam Robinson
One of the aforementioned members of the Crimson Tide pegged as a first-rounder, it’s a possibility that his value is being inflated because most scouts consider this to be a down year for offensive tackles. Robinson’s tape is rather inconsistent. One week, he looks like a future Pro Bowler. But the next, he seems bored and disinterested.
Florida DT Caleb Brantley
Jonathan Bullard was incredible for the Gators in 2015 with 17.5 tackles for loss, yet he didn’t hear his name called until Round 3. On top of that, he made next to no impact as a rookie for the Chicago Bears. Brantley wasn’t nearly as productive as Bullard at a similar size and in the same scheme, so a second-round grade may be generous.
Vanderbilt OT Will Holden
Even in a weak draft for bookend blockers, as was covered above, he’s an obvious candidate to move inside to guard in the pros. In today’s pass-happy NFL, a premium is placed on blind-side protectors like never before. But quality guards can be found later than Round 3, which is where Holden is presently slated.
Arkansas TE Jeremy Sprinkle
Few teams in the country feature the tight end more often or more effectively than the Hogs. Hunter Henry was sensational as a rook for the San Diego Chargers as a second-rounder a year ago. Sprinkle is scheduled for Round 5, but his stats didn’t spike after Henry departed. Also, he has character concerns now after the infamous Belk incident.
Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly
Unable to participate in the Senior Bowl due to injury, now he won’t even go to the combine since the NFL is being harsher on players with certain legal blemishes on their record. Simply speaking, Kelly wasn’t any better as a senior than he was as a junior. The Rebels lost a bunch of games, too. Even the sixth round might be reaching.

6th round isn't reaching for Chad Kelly. Still think he's a gamer.

I agree, whomever takes a chance on Kelly will be pleased as a potential steal.

Cam Robinson is garbage

Chad Kelly will make a great pro if he keeps his head on straight. I know that's a big "if," but he has all the talent in the world and can make every throw.
I think he would fit well in Arizona.

I agree with Cam - he's digressed every year and has shown a tendency to not play at max capacity. I'd be very concerned taking him as my franchise's future left tackle anywhere in the first round. If he falls into the 2nd round and a team is willing and able to start him at RT and see how it goes then I think it's a decent value.
I don't really know how Chad Kelly is overrated. At this point, he's probably underrated given how far his stock has fallen. I'd easily take a flier on him in the 5th-7th round. Especially in a place with good culture. I'd be ecstatic if the Falcons snagged him and let him sit in a room with Matt Ryan for 2-3 years.

Personally, I think he's going to end up at Buffalo as a free agent

I think Sprinkle could be an asset with rhe right type of offense.Very good athlete.
Too bad he made a dumb decision at the last event of his college career.I hope that incident don't define him because he never had any other issues in the years he was here that I recall.

I think I've seen more mocks that have Cam going in the 2nd than the first.

Interesting take. But Fournette could run for miles behind our line. Which is it?

And in that spot, he isn't overrated.
As usual, being under/over rated all depends with where you are being valued round wise.
