Picking a 3 time national champion (twice as a starter) who finished #2 in the Heisman as one of the top SEC QBs is not crazy.

He's accomplished more in his college career than almost anyone on the list. I think Cam had one of the great individual seasons of all-time, but we weren't asked to rank individual seasons. I took the OP as "who had the best career among SEC QBs".

Hell no Jff has the top two record for total offense in the SEC. Only player to get over five thousand.

I like McCarron, but he was surrounded by elite talent in every position. He was a gamer to boot

No love for Connor Shaw? He may not have had the measurable as some of the others, but man was a winner. Took us to three straight 11 win seasons, never lost a home game, and was as tough as nails. He should be in the conversation at least.

Going by career accomplishments, best seasons, etc

1. Tim Tebow
2. Cam Newton
3. AJ McCarron
4. Johnny Manziel
5. Aaron Murray

3-5 could be moved around though.

One year starters (Newton) can't really be considered for this I don't think.

1. Tebow
2. Manziel
3. McCarron
4. Murray
5. Manning

Yes, I do. We can keep pretending like he isn't if you want, but he did win the Maxwell Award and was the runner up for the Heisman. He did win two national titles and a BCSCG MVP award. He was the only QB to be named 1st Team All American (2/5) other than Jameis by the 5 major AA teams in 2013. He had clutch performances.

He may not be the most physically talented, but he earned the right to be called a top 5 SEC QB during the 00-15 period stated.

Based on college and NFL career

4. Jay Cutler
5. ????

This list is fricking horrific.
