A QB who is picked in the first is expected to be a long time GOOD PLAYER for a franchise. Being a long time shitty starter doesn't mean much.

From his first year in college until he retired from the NFL, Jason Campbell played with roughly 10-11 different offensive coordinators (maybe even more). He also always played on bad teams in the NFL. He had a few pretty good seasons but I think his growth as a quarterback was stunted because of the constant change.

Thank you for confirming my original assertion.
FYI...there are literally 32 NFL QB's on earth at any one time. Being one for a decade makes you a good player even if your team never won many games.

So Mark Sanchez was a good player just because he started? Please.

I'm sure it wasn't the intention of the OP
But I'm definitely most rustled by shite talking Jason Campbell like that

When you take a player 5th overall you expect him to be a franchise player. When you draft a QB late 1st round you hope he'll play for your team.
Thanks for your help in making my point. Campbell was a good journeymen pro.

I'd rank stidham above cam. Better arm...I know most of you hillbillies have no idea what real QB play looks like these days, I'd be worried about playing auburn this year. Stidham can throw down field and makes good decisions. I fully expect auburn to win the sec this year quite easily.

IDK if I would call Jason Campbell a bust. Certainly underachieved tho

The talent exists at Auburn with high level QB play. I wish the oline was a bit stronger.

Jason Campbell was a very good college QB. That's why he was SEC Offensive Player of the Year and 1st Team All-SEC
And you're trying to make a list about best AUBURN quarterbacks, so the only thing relevant is what they did at AUBURN.
And in 2004 at AUBURN Campbell completed 70% of 2700 yards with 20 TD and only 7 INT and a QB rating of 172.9 (a better year than Shaw, Garcia, or Taneyhill ever had who I assume are your best ever) and a record of 13-0 and an SEC Championship (something no USCjr QB had ever done)
And even though NFL isn't relevant to this discussion, Campbell may not have been "good" but he certainly wasn't bad either. You don't stay in the league for 10 seasons with 79 NFL starts if you are bad.
Career:
60.3% completion
16,771 yards
87 TD
60 INT
81.7 QB rating
1204 rush yards
6 rush TD
5.0 ypr
That ain't bad, especially considering he had the misfortune to play for some of the worst franchises in the NFL.
No South Carolina QB has ever come close to an NFL career like that.
Serious question, has any QB that played for South Carolina ever started an NFL game? I couldn't find anything

Underachieved relative to what? He was drafted 25th. Only top 10 QBs are really expected to be elite. By the time you get to the bottom of the 1st you're really only expecting to get a solid starter.
Which he was.
He had a 10 year NFL career. Started 79 games.
He had a poor W-L record sure, but look where he played. Redskins were one of the worst franchises in the league when he was there and went through HCs and OCs like Saban goes through little Debbie snack cakes.
Raiders were a joke for years before he got there.
Then the Browns, obviously.
I don't think even Brady or Manning could have had a winning record with those teams.
But statistically he wasn't a bad QB. Just not good either.

I forgot about D Craig. He would have put up huge #'s in today's game. He was before his time.
