No, its not an MSU cheerleader, but Yes, that is a campus picture.

The Mississippi Cattleman's Association sponsors "Beefing up the Bulldogs" where they feed MSU football players unreal amounts of steak:

But then the fun begins. They will toss hay. Former DL and current Philadelphia Eagle Fletcher Cox holds the record.

All that steak has to be washed down, right?

Dillon Day isn't all about stomping. Hell feed a baby goat!

Four weeks until we beat LSU!

Right after the picture was taken, he moved the bottle and the real "tradition" started.

IIRC, it was at this event in 1992 that MSU players asked HC Jackie Sherrill a technical question about livestock, which led him to provide the team with a animal husbandry lesson that made college football history.

I used this particular link because I knew the MSU dean quoted in the piece. He actually thought the entire incident was pretty funny, but felt that such future educational demonstrations should be officially discouraged.

Do you even Ag bro?

Pretty sure that is straw which is MUCH lighter than hay. I used to throw hay bales as a summer job and it is hot as hell and damn tiring. The only fun was when you were done and went skinny dipping in a cool waterhole at the end of the day with a six pack or two cooling in the water.
