Good question. But I will say the last 5 quarters for UF football has been amazing on offense.

The defense, minus a few trick plays is as good of a defense I've seen at UF since 2008.

Mac already mentioned last years game in his post game press conference. I don't think this obvious trap game will trip them up too bad. A true freshman playing against the real best defense in the SEC is not a good combination for Mizzou. I think this is like 10-7 at the half, but Florida comes out in the second half and runs away with it.

UF 24-10.

I think it's an offensive struggle throughout with UF scoring late to put the game away.

I don't doubt this. I'm really interested in seeing how the true freshman handles it.

Good question, the interesting thing is that the statement you cite earlier

Mizzou's offense will get better with every snap Lock takes

Totally explains why Florida looks so different-- remember Florida is starting a freshman at QB as well.

Ours has been getting better with every game (especially since we are no longer rotating QBs). So I would expect us both to have improved offensive production for the game. Grier was nothing if not efficient last game. We didn't score simply because of turnovers (those were late game turnovers) and in the first half we looked the best we have on offense since probably 2008. I want to curb expectations and would not be surprised if we lost one of the next two games, but this is no Muschamp offense any longer. We can actually pass the ball.

Every ranter minus some Mizzou fans will predict a Florida victory. Mizzou will win. Every ranter minus some Mizzou fans will declare that Florida sucks and the East is down.

And why I have no idea what to expect. On either side.

So the narrative of a "trap game" is already being put out there in case Mizzou wins and goes 3-1 vs Gatah since joining the SEC.

I love it

I expect GP will play the game pretty conservatively. UF is probably not the defense to try and open it up against. He'll want a low scoring defensive game that's winnable in the 4th quarter.

I just hope he doesn't break my heart and put Mauk back in there. It would destroy my hopes for the season, and I bet it would have a big effect on the team as well.

Predict how the rant reacts when they realize the SEC's best QB is a true freshman yankee.

Trap game or not, I've thought the schedule favors Mizzou if we can just find an offense now with Lock. I like being sandwiched in between UT/OM followed by LSU/UGA.

Speaking of the SEC...

Watching the Rams right now Gurley and G Robinson look like shite

Eta: then Gurley breaks off a 50 yarder

Mauk is 2-0 against us, I mean admittedly last year he was horrendous but he won.

Mauk ain't coming back and Lock may very well end up being the best QB in the SEC before he's done.

We won a lot of games despite him, not because of him.
