LSU has had one less game than every other back.

Yet he leads the nation in rushing with 193 yards per game, and is only second place in touchdowns.

That with only TWO games, and one of those he was only in three quarters.

The amount of games played has no bearing on yards/game.

ETA: Besides calculating it, of course

Well if you do the just two games you can't really put his stats per game....

The thing I find most impressive is that Fournette has the most yards in two opening games in LSU history, and both of his games were against conference foes.

Playing against a cupcake team can increase yards per game.

LF is a freaking beast, but using less games to prop up avg yds per game does not make sense.

That is amazing. Fournette's rushing skills are only matched by your math skills.

So, if I play just one game and rush for 200 yards, I have a better per game average than LF. Great perspective.

Wow, if only we had a stat that would normalize for differences in number of games played.

Oh, we do have that stat.

This is Genius!

Is LF a 2000 yard rusher yet?

Career Stats:

LF STATS: 234 ATT for 1421 YDS 6.1 AVG 16 TD

(LF: 7 CAREER 100+ RUSH YRD GAMES)

NC STATS: 275 ATT for 2015 YDS 7.3 AVG 18 TD

(NC: 11 STRAIGHT 100+ RUSH YRD GAMES)

AS A STARTER:

NC* / LF
2014 Season
04 ATT 070YDS / 08 ATT 018YDS
04 ATT 034YDS / 13 ATT 092YDS
04 ATT 010YDS / 10 ATT 052YDS
11 ATT 032YDS / 07 ATT 038YDS
08 ATT 078YDS / 18 ATT 122YDS
38 ATT 143YDS / 10 ATT 042YDS
30 ATT 202YDS / 27 ATT 140YDS
21 ATT 156YDS / 15 ATT 040YDS
13 ATT 170YDS / 23 ATT 113YDS
19 ATT 144YDS / 21 ATT 079YDS
09 ATT 113YDS / 05 ATT 009YDS
25 ATT 129YDS / 19 ATT 146YDS
33 ATT 266YDS / 11 ATT 143YDS
*NC didn't start the first five games.

2015 Season
16 ATT 120YDS / RO
19 ATT 189YDS / 28 ATT 159YDS
21 ATT 159YDS / 19 ATT 228YDS
RO: Rained Out/Lightning

Try dividing that total yardage by three games instead of two. 129 avg/g, but yes it's still meaningless.

He's #12 in the nation in total rushing (and 2nd in the SEC behind Chubb). Of course being first in avg is impressive, but it's irrelevant when discussing him being one less game in.
