I’m not going to lie to you guys, the past few of months have been pretty tough.
When I broke my leg against A&M in October, it was one of the worst days of my life. It just didn’t seem fair. That wasn’t how my career at Alabama was supposed to end.
When I found out my season was over, I couldn’t stop crying. I think what made me the most upset was knowing that I’d have to miss out on all the fun we were going to have. Playing good football is hard work. It takes hours and hours of sweat and preparation. You have to push yourself to a level you didn’t think was possible. But ultimately it’s all worth it, because as everyone in this program knows, playing good football is — more than anything else — really, really fun.

He was such a great player throughout his career at Alabama. One of the few true freshman defensive backs to ever start for Nick Saban. Made the move to safety and became one of the elite players in all of college football. He's made some game changing interceptions, ones in Tiger Stadium and the national championship come to mind. I'm glad he chose Alabama!

I was such a different person when I first arrived in Tuscaloosa. I showed up here as a three-star wide receiver from Florida who hadn’t played high school football until his senior year. At first, like a lot of freshmen, I was scared to death that I was out of my league. Yes, I had wanted to attend Alabama because it was Alabama, but I don’t think I fully realized until I actually got here the sacrifices I’d have to make in order to play. I didn’t just have to learn how to be a defensive back; I had to learn how to be a coachable human being.
Holy frick, go read the entire thing! It's fantastic!

When you’re on the field on Saturday, look at the man next to you. Look at how hard he’s going. If you’re not trying to match his effort and then surpass it, then you need to pick it up a notch. This is the moment you’ve been working for since you got that first letter postmarked Tuscaloosa in your mailbox. Remember the excitement you felt that day, and let it out. You’re doing it, man. You’re here.
I would give anything to be able to take the field with my brothers one more time. So when you go out there, put every bit of yourself into every single play.
Every single play.
You never know when it might be your last.
Roll Tide!
Eddie
I'M frickING READY!!!

Whoever downvotes this is clearly doing it because of the team he's associated with and not because of the message.

Holy shite, did he actually write that? He was already my favorite player on the team, but damn. That's probably the best-written football article I've read in a while. It's better than 99% of the fluff pieces put out by actual journalists.

Eddie Jackson can do it all.
Now, if he could just throw the crutches away

He was right. If I could cover Coop in practice, there was no other player in the nation who was going to intimidate me. That’s the advantage we have over everybody else. We earn all our experience the hard way on the practice field in Tuscaloosa against future early-round draft picks. What I didn’t realize at the time was that it was a privilege to get beat by guys like that. That’s how I learned.
When you practice against the best, it's no wonder players like Fournette look silly against this defense. It's not a put-down on Fournette or other players just a testament to how dominant this team is.

Wow! I don't care who your team is...if that doesn't inspire you, if it doesn't motivate you or create a positive vibe along with respect and admiration for Jackson, there's sincerely a lack of even the most basic foundation of human emotion and kinship within you.
Well done. Y'all definitely have a young man to be proud of and that others are absolutely right to emulate as they grow up.

You mean just like 99.5% of every Alabama fan that down votes any thread to do with LSU?

No you drooling retard, go read the letter...it's amazing.
It could have been written by LF or Beckwith and it would still be amazing.
It could have been written by the 4th string kicker at UT and it would be amazing.

Is his injury career ending or just season ending?
