I mean, at some point your coach has to live up to "Tennessee Expectations", right?

Or have "Tennessee Expectations" changed?

He won't be fired unless they win 2 games. If one of those is Bama he might still be safe.

If Butch doesn't win the East this year (and it is giftwrapped for him), do you really think Tennessee will fire him?

Or, will his seat simply become warm?

If he loses to both UF and UGA his seat will be more than "warm."

My expectations were for Tennessee to be in Mizzoukills' head. Since they've already done that (by evidence of the number of UT threads you are posting), I would say "Mission Accomplished". Anything else is just gravy.

Shutout Mizzou, no mercy garbage points in the 4th, plus 9 regular season wins minimum.

He's improved from:

5-7
7-5
9-4

And poised for a 10-2 or 11-1 type season in 2016.

The only way he gets fired is if he doesn't reach a bowl game in year 4.

One things for certain though, he'll beat the dog shite out of Missouri again like he did on Pinkel's final home game at Faurot. Hell of a way for that guy to go out.

Mike Shula 2.0, only Shula won 10 games and destroyed Meyer 31-3 in year 3.

He won't be fired, but if he doesn't win the East this year he will have seriously fricked up.

This is probably the worst East in the history of the division and no other team is really capable of taking it from UT. UT could certainly lose it with Butch at the helm though.

If you would have told me in the mid-90s that UT fans would be content in rustling Missouri fans, I would have laughed you out of the room.

To see a once proud fanbase fall to such lows would be pretty upsetting, you know, if it wasn't UT.
