I think he could be the 3rd or 4th best.

He's going to be the best QB A&M has put on the field since Manziel.

Definitely possible, given the weapons he'll have around him.

Lets hope he is the most consistent. I don't expect him to be Kenny Trill vs USC, but I expect him to last an entire season unlike Hill, Allen, & Midgetboy.

Preseason number 1 for sure.

The inevitable collapse comes later in the year.

Hard to say with so many new QBs taking over, but around 4th sounds about right

That said, you guys hit the nail on the head with him, especially with that pussy Kyler not having the chest.

Going out on a limb here and looking to engage in some civil discussion:

What are the Aggie fans' thoughts on his time at Oklahoma? Not discredit the flashes we saw at OU, but I think we have to assign a question mark to any transfer at any school. You say you think he could be 3rd or 4th best in the league..why is that?

Interested to hear y'all's opinion.

4th isn't a bad spot given the WR talent TAMU has. Regardless of where he falls on the scale, I expect him to be a solid QB for A&M.

He will likely be top 5 by default due to Aggy's WRs and the slaw quarterbacks in this conference behind Swag and Dobbs

Why? Because it appears most of the QBs outside of Swag are either bad or unproven. So it isn't going to take a herculean effort to be top 3 or 4. He also has one of the best WR groups in the nation to throw to. Reynolds, Kirk, RSJ, Speedy, and anyone else who steps up.

As for his time at OU it was very inconsistent. I don;t knock him for the transfer. The guy who beat him out and was a Heisman finalist was a transfer too. He showed flashes, but was accurate enough.

He doesn't scream high end talent, but Sumlim has shown the ability to have an offense that is QB friendly and puts up points regardless of who is there. The only exception you'll find is the 2nd half of 2015 when Allen was hurt and midget got to play.

Hard to tell. His play seemed to get worse at OU. He lost his starting job to a then walk on. Granted, the walk on is now a Heisman contender.

In 2013 he completed 59% with 9 TDs and 5 Int's. Not earth shattering but did have his best career game against Alabama.

In 2014 he only completed 56% of his passes and his td to int ratio got worse at 14 to 12.

In 2015 he just played in mop up duty but still his completion percentage dropped to 55%.

Overall, I think aTm fans should lower their expectations of him or they may be disappointed.

He's a smarter Kenny Trill. He's got some wheels but his arm talent isn't that good.

Baker was not a walk on at OU. He walked on to TTU where he proved himself.
