After last spring there was talk about him being the #1 overall pick. Now I see where he is projected a late second rounder or a early third rounder. People wonder why these kids leave early, Williams is a perfect example of why you should strike while the iron is hot.

Who the hell had him #1. Every mock draft I've read since November has had Myles #1.

He was unstoppable during their A-Day Game last year. Most people thought MG would implode at some point last year, having to play in that Defense.

If you're unstoppable in your spring practice, you deserve the #1 draft spot.

This was also pre-finding out he failed multiple drug tests at Bama.

That will drop anyone in the draft

If someone gets him in the second or third round, they are getting a fricking steal. Dude was unblockable in most games last year. He was good against the run too. He didn't have a great championship game though, I will admit. I think he has some character issues too.

Red flags are hurting his draft stock some, IMO. I am not sure I ever heard he was rated as the #1 pick, but he was a solid first rounder early on in the process.

Someone will get a steal later in the draft kind of like the honey badger, he probably doesn't get out of 2nd round. The key will be going to a team with a good support system with someone around him to keep him in line. Easier said than done but TM made it.

He got really overrated coming into this year because after being a good sack artist people thought he could play all 3 downs effectively and that turned out not be true really. That's what really hurt his stock the most.

That's a really good comparison to Honey Badger. Kinda the same situation. I hate the term "character issues" comes up when they test positive for pot. Smoking pot isn't a character flaw. Tim Williams and Honey Badger could be on my team any day.

He clearly has some character concerns. I think part of his slide is due to having such a deep edge rushing class this season. In most seasons he probably would have slid from mid first round to maybe mid second.

But in this class you've got Barnett, Lawson, the UCLA guy, JJ Watt's little brother, Harris from Mizzou. I mean it's deep. So his slide is probably a little more pronounced than it normally would be. With that said I think he can be a productive guy in the NFL. He always looked a tad thin to me, but he produced really well in college

I agree he's a great rusher but it's not a steal if they can't get him on the field. NFL can't sweep drug test under the rug like NCAA teams cough*Bama*cough can.

See Randy Gregory and Aldon Smith- top 5 talents but doesn't matter with them being suspended constantly.

I seem to remember him on the field most plays, and he showed some serious chops against the run.

Agree. Sack specialists are definitely a wanted commodity in the NFL but there are sack specialists in this class that have shown the ability to play the run / not just be third down guys a little better than Tim Williams so NFL teams are going to see more value in those guys.

It's probably the failed drug tests that have dropped him more than anything else
