Read further. Failure to carry the permit on you while in concealed possession of the firearm results in the permit becoming invalid.

That's not how it works. The permit is recognized by Alabama, but the possession falls under Alabama law. Whatever AL law says about not having your permit on your person is what will apply in this instance.

ETA- temporary permits are issued by the state, not some store. I have bought my fair share of pistols, and never have I been given a temporary CCW permit

So this doesn't apply to Tim at all. He couldn't of obtained a temporary CCW permit from Louisiana.

The papers you must carry in this case are not related to the permit but something else. I see where you can get a temp permit in LA for $25, I do not see any other stipulations.
Bapple over on the OB could probably giver further clarification, I believe he teaches the courses

Out of my arse or not, if Tim actually had his CCW it would of been reeased by now. How dumb do you have to be to think a receipt from the gun store would count as a CCW permit.
