It's safe to say that most of you really hate bama but my question is, does most of the hate come because of Nick Saban? Would you still hate if we had another coach?
Prior to Saban most Bama fans had a healthy respect for LSU. We never had a reason not to get along with you guys and I never thought I'd see the day you guys despised us.
Will things get back to normal when coach retires? Thanks and good luck.

Saban, 1/9/12, Chavising the game away in '12 and '14. In that order. Actually most of my Saban issues had gone away after 2010. Mulligan brought it back.

25-(soon to be)50-5. Would you like a program that treated you like that?

Nope the Hate is strong and it goes deeper than your lying, thinking of only himself coach. Really I don't think there's a fan base in the SEC that don't hate the Gumps. That said enjoy your week and here's to a injury free game sat gona be a heavy weight fight for sure. and Geaux Tigers

I'll be honest here. I hate the fans who came of the woodwork everywhere after Saban.

The "mulligan" was not Bama's faught. Dont hate them because they were picked to play you guys again. We can agrue all night about who deserved or who got shafted. But fact is the two best teams in football were matched against each other in the Championship game. It worked like it was designed too. Just like other sports you can play the same team twice. If your better you will win the 2nd game again. I thought LSU was by far one of the top two teams. As was Bama.

Saban is only a part of it. I really don't like the fans, decent amount of alright people, but it's also a horrific combination of rednecks and an overboard emphasis on the Greek scene.

Before we got Saban, LSU was not good for so long that Bama fans thought of us as a Kentucky. (Sorry Kentucky fans) We would beat you every blue moon when you had a crappy coach or we got lucky. Saban took LSU to a new level and Les has been doing really well at LSU. Now our 2 teams are usually pretty good at the same time and the game means a hell of a lot more. 2011 is a prime example.
Bama has a pretty good streak going against us but for the most part they have been close enough to be heartbreakers.
I dont hate Bama or Saban because he is responsible for LSU's rise from a dumpster fire. I dont respect Saban for the way he left.
Anyway i hope its a good game and no one gets hurt (players of fans). Good Luck all and remember its just football.

Most hardcore LSU fans have a healthy respect for Saban due to his time at LSU and for what he did for LSU

Most Bama fans I know like LSU. They've always been my 2nd favorite SEC team.

I've never understood LSU fans hating Saban. I actually like him and appreciate him. The only thing I don't like about him is the fact that he's at Alabama.
I do hate Alabama though. I've always hated Alabama ever since I was a kid and Bear Bryant was the coach.

This is not the majority opinion of LSU fans. A small percentage hate every opponent. A smaller percentage hate Saban as you say you do. A whole lot of us respect the man for putting the LSU program back on track. Most real LSU fans do hate Ole Miss and vice versa because we're raised that way. You certainly can't judge the fans of any school by the inane postings on a message board, though it does make for passable entertainment. Here's to the winner of Saturday's game blowing the doors off of someone in the playoffs. Of course I pray it's my Tigers.

Healthy respect for Nick Saban and his Alabama program here. I dislike elements of your fanbase. Just as I dislike elements of my own fanbase. Though I dislike yours significantly more so in comparison.
Since 2007 your team has consistently been our most formidable opponent and in almost every contest you've conversely drawn the best of our program in terms of our team's ability to play our asses off.
Saban being here in the past, then handing us our single most gut wrenching loss in program history fuels the enmity, but if you really think about it, it's appreciation for your success and the honest belief that LSU deserved much of it.
As an objective fan, the 2011 LSU Team should be remembered as one of the greatest teams in collegiate football history. Beating three BCS Bowl Winners, two conference champions, undefeated run through the toughest conference in America at the absolute apex of its power and strength as a group.
Instead, they're an afterthought outside of Baton Rouge and once a year when this game comes around.
The severity of the manner in which history turned on 010912 for our legacy is far more than enough to breed hatred and contempt. I'm surprised you aren't able to discern how crushing that loss was to us. Perhaps because even Kick 6 wasn't as spectacular a loss as was ours.
But if you put yourselves in our shoes...you wouldn't wonder as much as you do. I don't hate like most fans, but it's not hard for me to understand in any way, without condemning or condoning.
