I personally have not been impressed with his play calling. Some of the calls he made against OU were laughable. What does the rant think of his play calling?

I think our OL severely handicaps his play calling capabilities.

I'd question the odds of winning the Chattanooga game with Peterman in. He is awful.

Definitely not division 1 caliber, let alone SEC caliber, from the little amount ive seen of him.

When we got up on Georgia in the first half he went ultra conservative with his play calling. I think if he would have stayed aggressive we might have won. He is frustrating at times to watch call plays.

It's tough to gameplan with how bad our line is.
That being said, some of his play calls have been questionable. Especially the ou game. Starting out the first play of the game with a slow developing reverse when you know their DLine dominates our o line? We lost eight yards and essentially killed our first drive in one play. Again, later in the game, we run run run the ball down the field and go five wide on the goal line and throw a pick 6 in a situation where we need any points we can get and a field goal would've been okay. That ended any comeback chances we had. And the UGA game, we had to put peterman in and he develops a rhythm quickly with short, quick passes, and then after the first series we abandon that for vertical passes and no run plays at all with terrified peterman in there. Some of his thinking doesn't make sense to me.

I think the man is just still learning. He has a good mind, and recruits love him apparently, but it just takes a while to become a good play caller in the SEC.
I wouldn't judge him on the OU game with his OL and the fact that OU has a pretty good defense anyway.
