I could see Saban leaving or even retiring
Anyone with eyes and ears could see the pressure these Bama players were under this season. They started tight in most big games, but talent won out more than not in the end. This past weekend it caught up to them, and I'm surprised it took that long with the whole 3-peat on their backs. Plus, we Bama fan forget how many young players(Cooper, Yeldon, and others) we got at important positions this year. I could see Saban leaving if he thought leaving could help Bama's players well-being in the long run. Him leaving would bring Bama fans back to reality and loosen the pressure on the players. You don't win every game you play no matter how good you are, no one does. To much parity and to many legit teams these days to do all that. In the old days with expectations,....no problem, but most fanbases today have made it unbearable when expectations are through the roof yearly. Most fanbases here would be crazy like these days on this kind of run, and I thought most Bama fans handled it well to tell ya the truth. Many fanbases would've been worse. Shoot, some fanases talk smack while losing 3-5 games a year, just imagine them with 3 of 4 BSC titles behind them. Maybe the pressure of the 3-peat being gone might help relieve all that crazy preasure, but I doubt it....lol

No matter what happens, Saban has got us in great shape
He done what he was brought here to do and more
So this Bama fan thanks his Blessing

Had this in the Mack Brown thread but it got wacked

Saban feeling the pressure of Malzahn and Auburn. If he leaves it has nothing to do with eliminating pressure from the kids....

Saban is 6-6 vs. Auburn, let that sink in. He is not feared by the current Auburn coaching staff.

Let him run to Texas and I will shout from the mountain tops, that Gus made him quit.

STAAAAAHPPPPP

Saban and Bama staff are about to finish with arguably his best recruiting class at Bama and he's won the last 2 NCs and next week still has to happen.........this is all stupid to consider right now

If Saban leaves, it will have nothing to do with trying to take pressure off of the players at Bama.

I would be extremely surprised if he went to Texas, only somewhat surprised if he tried his hand at the NFL again, and not surprised at all if he just retired. Dude's going to be or is already a new grandfather, and that can change a person.

Wait, so you think that if Saban leaves it will be because he thinks it will benefit the players??

Even if he came out and said he despised us all and pissed on the University, I wouldn't care. That'd be my thoughts. Be appreciative that probably the second best coach in CFB history won us 3 titles, and came close to a couple more.

There's nothing wrong with dicussing the reality of the sitution. Well....maybe that's asking to much from some on Tigerdroppings. Either way, I'm sticking by my opinion.

Saban will retire or go elsewhere once he feels he's more of a danger to his players overall well-being. The pressure, many fans not to excited about wins like the begining, and things like this matter. It's ironic that us fans are or own worse enemy sometimes. We create these great & toxic environments, and this includes most fanbases in CFB. The only diffence is not many fanbases haven't experienced what Bama fans are feeling these days. So they don't know that's within them too, that's all.....

Please.

I could see him saying Im retiring and taking a year off only to give the NFL one more try in a year. But that's a stretch too

Saban is the ultimate competitor. His chances of leaving got a lot less after this loss. His competitive juices will be stirred anew to beat that gimmick offense of CGM's.

Im sure you guys said the same when Chiz won in 2010. Just pump the brakes a bit on thinking Gus is taking over the SEC. Your 2014 sched is brutal

Don't forget, the forward pass was once considered a gimmick play. How has that worked out? FWIW, it is hard to prepare for a gimmick offense, your words, no? Maybe Saban should have come up with a gimmick defense, no?

I can sorta agree to this
I figured Saban was surely gone after a 3-peat

Plus, this loss might be the best thing for Bama in the long run. Bama winning the 3-peat could've started the samething we witnessed at Flordia after their 2 of 3 titles. Florida's new recruits figured they just had to show up and win big. This loss might end up being great fuel for the youngsters still on this Bama team. People forget how young this Bama team still is. It'd be like the 2008 Flordia/Utah loses were for 2009 Bama. It propelled them to an unbelievable season. Then 2010 Auburn pushed Bama to great things too. Well see, never know what the future will bring.
