The Superdome isn't happening because of the rain and the concern over the pumps not working properly.

It is nothing new. These neutral site out of conference games are put on by the network and most of the time a bowl site together.

If I'm an LSU fan who planned to travel Nashville would be my desired destination. I live in Murfreesboro for a short time and I loved Nashville

The Superdome would be the best cause it will be packed.

No it wont. Only 40k showed up for the Florida game last year becuase of the short notice, and that was in Tiger Stadium.

There would probably be 20k in Nashville or Orlando

Why do you care? Honestly? You've flamed LSU up and down every thread remotely related to the relocation of this game, and neither you, nor and your University are in any way involved (obviously, since contingency planning appears to be moving along without a single hitch).

Thank you for this. Forevergator Worry about yourself

Maybe not, but that's what they're waiting on.

They couldn't responsibly announce the game to be played in New Orleans today, considering there's still a lot of uncertainty with the track of the storm and the rainfall totals in southeast Louisiana.

They SHOULD have a better idea by tomorrow. If they feel New Orleans won't see more than the originally anticipated 4-8 inches of rain, they'll probably play it there. If New Orleans looks like it might get 10+ inches of rain, I'm not sure if ESPN would pull the trigger. After that is when you'll see Orlando, Jacksonville, Dallas, etc. come into play, and a decision will be made swiftly.

It has to be announced by tomorrow, IMO. If they still aren't sure about New Orleans at that point, then they just can't play it there.

For the most part, I agree, but the Superdome would be 80% LSU fans compared to 60% in Houston.

Nashville would be a closer representation to what Houston would have been.

Would have easily been 80% LSU in Houston if not higher

I think it's the fairest option considering that the Superdome would basically just be a home game for LSU.

Nashville will be a lot more neutral. I hope they do that for the sake of integrity.

Really? I have a hard time believing that. They had a few weeks, didn't they? I wasn't there but on TV it sure seemed like more than 40k were there.

Now, the South Carolina game in 2015, yes, that was short notice and only just over 40k showed up.
