This post may seem reactionary, but I can't help but post something about yesterday. I really wish there were some way for CBS to push games back during the month of September. There are obvious issues because CBS would never take the ratings hit, but I wish some conversation could be had about how terrible these games can be for the fans from both a comfortability and safety standpoint.

2 years ago against UF at home, people were passing out left and right. Yesterday was just plain dangerous. Had a family member tend to someone who passed out falling into his arms and took the person to the medical station, which was described as a triage. Look, obviously there's the ratings argument, as well as people saying well people would be tailgating in the sun all day anyway. However, at least when you're tailgating you have a lot more access to water and AC if you want. When you're packed in like sardines with a heat index of well above 100, it's a recipe for disaster. It seems manifestly unreasonable to risk the health of the fan for slightly better ratings. I know business is business, but it really rubs me the wrong way and I wish there would be more of a fan outcry for this. Anyways,

You should probably just move or quit going to games in September.

My entire body is red. plus there were a lot of drunk old guys in my section who I was worried about. Those of us who stayed the whole game on the west side were in the sun for 5+ hours.

Also, hydrate at the cellular level. Equal parts crown and water.
