This whole Kirk Herbstreit Weekly Top 4 is stupid as shite

I am so sick of it. Each week he picks the flavor of the week to go to the Playoffs.
Oh Look this week Team A played lights out, they are now my new #1. On this week Team B played very solid, they are now my new #1 pick!
On this week, Team C went into a hostile environment and won, they are now my #1 team in the nation!
Last week Tea F played great, they are now my top 2
It's utter bullshite and retarded

I only find it dumb that he has Bama and LSU in there but he says he knows there will be only one and it will work itself out. Why put two teams from the same conference knowing you're wrong?

I am far from upset. Believe it or not, I am very relaxed about it. It bothers me because he is trying to manipulate his picks by having the flavor of the week. In other words, he is trying to sound like he knows what he is talking about when in realty he is full of shite

Isn't it supposed to be a static top 4, meaning the top 4 teams at THIS moment? If so, then it is fine. If he's projecting who WILL be the top 4 then it's dumb.

Because if he ran with Team A in his top 4 the whole time and Team B knocked Team A out of the top 4 spot it shows he should have had Team B there all along. It would be a form of admitting that he was wrong the whole time on who his top 4 team was.
If 2 top 4 teams clash and 1 loses when they "were" a top 4 team ,but they were knocked out by a "better" team. That circumstance would create a new Top 4 spot for a team TBD to rise to that spot and claim it.
I am not saying it is not flawed logic...it's a way to be right while still being wrong.

He's not wrong if he legitimately thinks they are the best teams? Just because the play each other and one team has to lose doesn't mean the loser isn't better than all the other teams they don't have to play. As an LSU fan you should be intimately familiar with this.

Exactly. And it's not crazy to think both Bama and LSU are 2 of the top 4 teams, AT THE MOMENT.
Soon enough we will find out who of the 2, has the best chance to make the CFP. Let's just enjoy the season, and a LSU victory in BDS. (Also please no Iowa St moments)
