if the last 12 years are an indicator.....bama will just fade away for awhile and LSU will pick up a new "rivalry"

first it was Auburn with Tuberdouche, then it was UF with Meyer, now its bama. who will be next after bama fades away? Arky? A&M?

+1 to Choctaw... I like the way you think man.

I always liked Tubbs but when he lit that cigar up I wished one of the players would have cleaned his clock right there.

I personally still have a good feeling seeing Ole Miss being irrelevant in everything.

What, the SEC West Champion is almost guaranteed to come from this game! Your team will not roll over and give up this game.

By loosing a game I meant loosing the series of a game every year.
We will fight to the finish to keep our rivals

i think there is a big difference in perception between the lsu & alabama fans of what a true rivalry is.

alabama/lsu is, at the moment, always a huge game because both teams are at the top of the cfb now.

but, when, both teams cycle down, and they will, the game will just be viewed as another tough sec match up, not a historic rivalry.

a true rivalry is a game that has a mystic..a mystic that has been built on long history, the passion of the fans & the antagonism between the fanbases & players whether or not either team is any good. a true, historic rivalry will always garner national/media interest and attention even when one or both of the teams is down.

I wish Ole Miss was good again. To me, when both teams were about equal, it was our best rivalry game. Fans from both schools hate each other.

But, the fact that Bama beat us in Baton Rouge for 3 decades, while we beat you in Bama every other year has nothing to do with it. You see.....Bama fans love to point out one side of the story (beating us in BR) while completely forgetting the other side (LSU winning at Bama).

Not sure which 30 years you're referring to, but:

1961-1990: Bama was 20-6-1
1971-2000: Bama was 22-7-1
1981-2010: Bama was 15-14-1

If you take away LSU's Decade of Glory (2001-2010) which coincided with Bama's Decade of Ignominy (a 3-7 Bama record), your assessment of 'always winning in Bama' is a pipe dream.

But hey...don't let facts get in the way of your argument.

Personally, I don't want to be considered Bama's rival. I like the trees on campus.
