LSU has had the top DB drafted the past 2 years, with Eric Reed having a chance to make it 3 for 3. I think I'm ok with LSU talent in the secondary.

Reid-Louisiana
Mathieu-Louisiana
Simon-Louisiana
and to a lesser extent Ronald Martin-Louisiana

THIS is what I love about LSU. GEAUX TIGERS! We are not Bama's "rival." That doesn't mean that they don't see us as a significant threat. Every game against us since Saban took over has been just as HUGE for them even if they don't want to admit it.

The two schools don't like each other right now and I'm cool with that. I never thought I'd see the day when I hated Bama more than Auburn, but after the way their coach, players, and fanbase behaved after 11/5, I lost a TON of respect for them and their program. We got a taste of how they treat Auburn and TN. For that reason alone, I want to beat the snot out of them every year, for now.

It's a big game, but we arent rivals.

It takes more than 7 years to establish a rivalry within the SEC. Saying we are rivals only downplays the actual rivalries that other schools have.

Actually both of them committed to UA after LSU beat UA and before the BCSCG.

Please. LSU was on him like white on rice when his mid-term grades came in.

To OP, nicely written

Yes, this is a game, at this point we sweat. It is a big obstacle in our way. That being said, we do not hate you. We hate UcheaT and our little sister. The order varies depending on the fan. I actually like LSU.

In a nutshell, you are an obstacle at this point in things, but you are not a revered rivalry. We will not fight to the finish to keep from loosing a game with you.

Go BIG 4!

What, the SEC West Champion is almost guaranteed to come from this game! Your team will not roll over and give up this game.

I will fully acknowledge when Bama beats LSU for a LA prospect like Kenny Bell and Landon Collins. But, Bama did not beat out LSU for Sentimore and Lacy.

Sentimore went to LSU the weekend prior to NSD fully expecting to be offered. He left with no offer and his HS coach whined big-time afterwards to WWL radio.

Lacy had personal and grade issues and LSU backed off. To Bama's credit they stayed with him. Lacy went to John Curtis for summer classes and got qualified.

LSU-Bama is nothing more than Bama-UF of the 90's...two big powers now but as soon as one slips back, it won't mean anything.

Pretty much. It'll be important because it is a conference game...but no more important than any other.
