Imagine being the NCAA and sitting back and watching a University, who is going to be levied sanctions on in the immediate future, look as though they are using a booster to try and target the accusers/witnesses in their wrongdoing for retaliation purposes.

The NCAA has to be going well we were unsure if we were going to set an example with Ole Miss and maybe take it a bit easier on them but now after this BS ... maybe we should go even harder.

As the Grove burns everyone ...

I agree. I mean, obviously rebel rags did what the NCAA is accusing them of, they just want to appear innocent. So what that this means that an investigation will have even more access to what really went on. So what it will cost them a lot in legal fees. So what if you really did what the NCAA says and this leads to more proof, meaning more punishment. At least it gives some bears on a glimmer of hope. Obviously worth all that, given they are for sure guilty of what Leo accused them of. It's like they actually believe the other MSU player in Simmons was telling the truth when he said Leo was lying. Stupid rebel rags.

I don't know why a business wholly based on selling goods for a university would ever try to defend itself from disassociation from said university. It's not like the owner's livelihood is entirely based in their association with the university. Clearly just the university using the owner as a proxy channel. Gonna backfire. Cheatin' Bears gon' screw themselves over again

Sounds more like the 3rd party "recruitment bypass" account has been busted.

It is actually in competition against the university in selling goods.

Do whistle-blower laws & limitations apply to NCAA witnesses?

Goods pertaining to a university, not the university's goods. Realized that could've been somewhat ambiguous after I posted. Still, RR's existence and the owner's interest in the store are wholly dependent on the store's ability to sell Ole Miss paraphernalia, and disassociation really throws a wrench in that business concept

The IRS has a whistle-blower program if you're thinking about reporting Leo Lewis to the IRS. If they recover some money in back taxes, you'll get a percentage of it.

This lawsuit won't appear before a jury for at least 2 years. The NCAA will punish that arse far sooner than any evidence is relished in this cry baby lawsuit.

IRS TAX TIP 2001-31

WASHINGTON -- If you give any one person gifts valued at more than
$10,000 in a year, it is necessary to report the total gift to the Internal Revenue
Service. You may even have to pay tax on the gift.
The person who receives your gift does not have to report the gift to the
IRS or pay gift or income tax on its value

I'm not so sure about that 2 year timeline. Anyone have a link to the Lafayette County Court's docket?

Regardless, I think the biggest point now in the investigation would be what happens on July 19 during the deposition of Lewis and Jones.

They don't really have a lot of room to do worse.
