That SEC bowl record though! ACC had a better year last year than the SEC in terms of head to head and OOC. Hell my Jackets were 3-0 against the SEC East. Would be great to knock off UT to make it 4-0.

Might've been the matchups. VT lost to us last season and they did pretty well last season in the ACC - I believe they were your division champ (not sure which div GT is in). I think the GT game will be interesting. Both teams will have new QBs and our defense will want to start off on the right foot despite GT running an offense that we won't see the likes of the rest of the year.

I don't think the game will tell us too much though since first games are always strange. I expect Dormady to start at QB but also for JG to get a chance to show what he can do in live action.

I love the confidence Clemson fans have re: Watson's replacement. Its the same argument every fanbase has used the last 10+years when replacing a Heisman winning QB, and it never works out.

Maybe it will for them, though. Watson doesn't have a Heisman after all.

If you have good d tackles beating georgia tech isn't very hard. You guys have tuttle right? Its all about shutting down the dive against them

Yes and Tuttle is great when healthy. But he was injured against SC and I really don't want them to rush him back for this game if he's not 100 percent. He'll play this year but ultimately conference games are more important than OOC games.

One major improvement opening the season over the end of last season is that we won't be playing DEs at DT. I expect that KMACK will make an impression this year at DT along with Tuttle. When those two have played together they've been great and word is that KMACK has gotten more serious (he's always been a super-outgoing personality that may have been a little too easy going given his talent level despite flashing major talent at times).
