You are going to feel silly next year.

Either that, or you'll feel a pointless sense of pride in predicting his retirement, despite the fact that it isn't very impressive for folks to guess year after year that he'll retire THIS year! I mean, of course it will eventually be a true statement and the odds go up every year.

If you want to make a ballsy prediction, predict it at least 3 years in advance.

Get a clue is a phrase from the 80's that was popular among teens who wanted to express that someone was clueless.

Buy a clue was the original phrase according to them. They know it's true and they also know the OP is a troll.

Dabo will never get the Alabama job. He's not the right guy for the job despite his Alabama heritage. He's just not sharp enough. Dabo doesn't have that special mystique Alabama is famous for. Dabo doesn't have the personality, charisma, or brains to maximize the inherent power and resources Alabama has. He would lose too many recruiting wars and Alabama would slip. His dream job would turn into a nightmare. He'd get fired in 2 or 3 seasons when the Tide faithful saw their beloved team backing up.

The guy that follows Saban will have to be a genious - and that ain't Dabo.

I would worry more about whether or not this is your coach's final season at Arkansas.

It was a partial quote, you didn't get it. But for you, the dates could be updated to more recent.

Dabo will be coming home, don't worry. That's unless Saban really does go another 10 years.

The contingent that wants him to come home has grown. Obviously even more last year. He's always had those that supported him being the guy one day. I've changed my stance.

Never liked that he was connected to Mike Dubose recruiting scandals. But he hasn't had issues at Clemson that I'm aware of. The fact that he has a fairly close relationship with Saban helps. I could see a good transition. But who knows. That day could be two years or ten from now. The more time that passes, and he's entrenched at Clemson, the less likely he leaves. But Alabama is his alma mater. You can never downplay the pull of
home. Bobby Bowden nearly left FSU in 1986. The Alabama president and AD screwed the pooch on that one.

This doesnt always work like that. Bielema isnt having near the success he was having at Wisconsin. Also, see Charlie Strong.

Plenty of examples to use, but those aren't justifiable. Both were major rebuilding jobs.

I think he has some time left and as far as Dabo, he will sprint to Alabama if called if he is not passed up for Kiffin!

Quit what? Hell, it seems freeze has been a god send. Two national titles and three SEC titles since freeze was hired at Mississippi.

Guys like Deshaun Watson don't exactly grow on trees. Dabo never sniffed a national title until he got there.

What Dabo will do if he leaves Clemson for Alabama is hire a great staff and recruit well, but not at a Saban level. It would be interesting to see the leash the fans and administration give Dabo if he doesn't put up Saban-esque results.
