Think McElwain is tired of Spurrier yet?

So HBC decides that he would announce the starting QB to the media. Only problem with that is that McElwain hadn't done so yet.

Not a huge secret it seems, but I've got to think that pissed Jimmy off. Is the tail wagging the dog in Gainesville?

Predicted this (that Spurrier would be a thorn in McElwain's side) in the original thread and the Florida fans thought I was crazy.

HBC is used to being HBC. He doesnt think before he speaks. Its gonna take him awhile to learn that if he ever does in whatever his new role is.

You're right. This is going to be a nightmare for McElwain. Spurrier's ego will take this situation to a very bad conclusion for the Gator football program, I'm afraid.

Good to see SOS sewing seeds of discord at Florida for the rest of us instead of vice versa after all these years. Stir that shite pile Steve!

Talking about the quarterbacks at Florida, Spurrier seemed to drop a tidbit that hasn't been made quite official just yet. "(Luke) Del Rio seems to be the starter," Spurrier said on a teleconference call. "He is the starter now. We'll see how it all works out." Florida coach Jim McElwain hasn't yet named Del Rio the starter

This isn't really anything different than what McElwain has been saying:

quote:

''(Luke) Del Rio seems to be the starter," McElwain said when asked about the state of the position, according to the Orlando Sentinel's Edgar Thompson. "He is the starter now."

Yeah, I doubt this is an issue. You have to believe that Jim was asked about this move before it was made and he obviously doesn't have a problem with it. Maybe it was his idea to start with. I would hate this if I were a Gators fan but this isn't an issue.

All two of them? I actually like Spurrier. But he is a complete has been who completely quit instead of retiring once he knew he was getting lazy. I guess in his own ego he thought he could still win without recruiting.
