Like when people say Garrett wasn’t productive enough in SEC play. Price points out that Garrett suffered a high ankle sprain in late September against Arkansas last season.
“I said, ‘If you can’t go, I understand that,’ He said, Coach, I’m not comin’ out. I gotta help us win.'”
A&M ended up coming back to win that game, 45-24.
“He’s an old-school kinda guy,” Price told FOX Sports Monday. “This kid is out here knowing what his draft status (as a projected top pick) is, and he’s out there with a high-ankle sprain and he’s pushing through it. We hear a lot about guys not playing or skipping bowl games. He kept pushing through it and he was never 100 percent the rest of the season.”
“I wished people would look at the film. He faced more double and triple-teams this season than anyone I’ve seen in 20-plus years of college football,” Price says. “Come watch how hard this guy works. Watch him every day. He busts his arse in practice. He works at his craft. He is a low-maintenece, great player.
All I gotta say is...
Edit: Looks like Todd McShay & Pawl come to Myles aid as well.

In his argument, Sapp claimed Garrett was lazy and failed to take over games. Featured as a guest on the Paul Finebaum Show Monday, McShay was asked to give his opinion on Sapp’s take and the ESPN analyst couldn’t disagree more with the former NFL lineman.
“I can put together a highlight reel, or a lowlight reel if you want, of every single player conserving energy,” McShay said on the air. “It’s a different game now, and I’m not making excuses. There are some plays where you kinda want to see a little bit more at the end of the play by Myles Garrett, but you’re playing 80-90 snaps on defense now versus 50-60 years ago because of the up-tempo offenses. I think some people missed out on the full picture here with Myles Garrett because you go back two years ago and watch the tape and there’s a lot more consistency. This year, you go back and watch the UCLA game — before he has the ankle injury — and he’s absolutely all over the place and dominating two offensive tackles for UCLA.”
McShay delved deeper into Sapp’s comments and questioned the very reason the former NFL lineman would be making these claims without doing the proper evaluation that many others have, including himself.
“I think Warren Sapp is probably trying to take advantage of an opportunity to get back in the public’s eye the week of the draft,” McShay continued. “Unless you tell me that Warren Sapp went and watched 12-14 tapes, as I did on Myles Garrett from the last two years, I just can’t buy that opinion.”
While Sapp used to be employed by the NFL Network, he was fired in early 2015 after being arrested for solicitation of a prostitute, among other charges.
Paul Finebaum then chimed in with his thoughts on Sapp.
“I think it’s a safe bet that Warren Sapp hasn’t even seen (Garrett) play,” Finebaum said.
It’s not clear if he’s specifically addressing Sapp here, but Garrett’s former teammate Christian Kirk also weighed in Tuesday on the thought of criticizing Garrett’s stock as the draft approaches.

What about his production his sophomore year in the SEC?
And his Freshmen year?
He played like a first rounder against Lamar and Sam Houston st. LSU's terrible offensive line made him look pedestrian

I suppose we'll categorize this in the ''don't give a frick'' department.

Vs Arkansas, Ole Miss, Alabama, Miss State, S. Carolina
28 Tackles, 1 INT, 9 TFL, 4 Sacks, 4 Forced Fumbles
For perspective Arden Key had...
17 Tackles, 0 INT, 4.5 TFL, 3 Sacks, 0 Forced Fumbles

Well that was his Freshman year
And he wasn't a starter.
And he wasn't a starter.

i don't have any dog in this fight... other than i don't want him lining up opposite of Dak Prescott. He's legit if he is healthy. Warren Sapp is the lazy one in this situation... and in the prostitution situation. You are a facking millionaire and you can't get laid? hope he gets the clap.

Here is what's crazy...his "high ankle sprain" didn't bother him when they played UT San Antonio in November...but must have really bothered him the week before against Ole Miss and the week after against LSU.

didnt bother him against UTjr either apparently

It did. He sat our a large chunk of that game, but still seemed to be the difference in it.
That and Knight when he trucked Barnett for the TD.

The game went into 2 Overtimes and Garrett had 3 total tackles, one of which was a sack.
That isn't very impressive, but par for the course against SEC competition for him...so I guess you are right. Apparently, it wasn't bothering him in that game.

Barnett still on the ground after what Knight did to him?
Poor guy

It wasn't as embarrassing once you realized Barnett is only 6'3" 259 with a 4.88 40. Knight is the better athlete at 6'1" 219 with a 4.54 40, 37" vert, & 125" broad.
