bullshite. Most knowledgeable fans knew it was a mirage, and pleaded with the retard fans that O would never work. I wanted to be wrong, but sadly I wasn’t. Now we’re stuck with the water boy as our coach.

No, most LSU posters were dissatisfied with this hire.

Yes, there was a level of excitement when there were some blowout wins; but remember, this was coming off a couple of disappointing losses, and the emotional edge of Miles' firing. Lots of us thought last season was going to be the train wreck. So O got credit for the team performing well when it could have tanked.

But- when some people said "maybe keep him", most said no.

The basic sentiment was that if he could win out, then you give him an interview after Jimbo and Herman say no.
When the Bama game was close (the defense played well), some folks said we should still keep him in consideration, if you don't land the big fish. But he had to win the rest of his games.

Florida should have been the deal-breaker. Win and go to the Sugar Bowl; we outplayed them but still lost. I'm dumbfounded that he somehow survived that.

Do you disagree? There is still no situation in which O is fired after a year

Regardless, not sure how that in anyway would disprove the majority hated the O hire....

I got banned when Orgeron was hired. I had a nice little melt. I then decided to be as optimistic as I could until he showed he was as incompetent as I believed him to be.

That took 4 games.

The real split was most obvious in the coaching changes board. We had some Tiger Ree types who were incredibly pro O but a lot more LSU fans who were nega Os. The Tiger Rant was much dumber. There were a solid majority there who couldn't even name a few options in between Herman and Orgeron. The Baton Rouge media did quite a good job of selling a shite sandwich and now we're stuck eating it.

Nah, after the hire I said it was the downfall of LSU football. I mean the whole fricking binder thing was a big fricking joke. I've been bitching about O since December.

LSU hired "Mongo" as their HC (for you young shits...Mongo was from a movie Blazing Saddles and Alex Karras was Mongo and Madeline Kahn was awesome in it.

I knew right then it was all over for the kittens...they have a dumbass AD (welcome back to the Swamp again next year in 2018) and a fanbase too drunk to see shite.

The "we skeered" "we are pussies and don't wanna play LSU crap" bite them bad on the arse...16-10 deal wit it.

I mean, only because of the huge buyout, and that was the whole point.

I still yet to see how your statement disproves the majority didn't like the O hire

It was a pride thing. They were so sure they'd get Tom Herman and scoffed at him considering Texas his dream job, even though he went to school at Texas and got his first job from Mack Brown. They just didn't know these facts.

When that all turned out to be the case, they doubled down on Corch Oeaux and their ridicule of Tom Herman.

Psychology 101 for a fan base with inferiority issues.

That's not something I am trying to disprove. I'm simply throwing your old comment back in your face.

Why are you throwing back a correct factual statement in my face?

Once the hire was made, which sucked, he isn't getting fired after one year

Even with a low to zero buyout it still wouldn't happen

If LSU doesn't make a bowl, O would get fired without that silly buyout.

I agree with most of your post except

quote:

Eting not good,

62 of 102 921 yards 5 TDs 1 interception QBR 150.8 sacked 6 times.

Those numbers arent great by any means, but there has been very little pass protection and he gets creamed every game.

As an LSU fan our biggest complaint has been a lack of a QB for the better part of a decade.

Danny is not a cause of complaint this year.

Just for research, I went back to see my post when the news broke:

frick our embarrassing arse school
We are hiring a coach that wouldn't even be looked at by Purdue

My post had 38 upvotes to only 16 downvotes......

So like I said, the majority hated the hire

Disagree. Alleva would/will be fired, and the new AD would step in and have a year to gather himself before making a new hire, or the miracle O turns it around.

This is revisionist history. Plenty of LSU fans were pissed. They may have gotten their spirits up a bit by convincing themselves that Canada was good, but they were still pissed.

Disagree. If the wheels really fall off this season, he may be out the door with the but out. I don't see that happening and actually think LSU wins Saturday and ends up with a decent season, all things considered.
