Yes they would.
So what about Ohio States manhandling of our conference champion makes you think they would lose 3 games?

ETA: No slight to Bama, OSU would have beat us even worse

I don't think that is a slight to Bama at all. I just don't see them being undefeated playing teams like Auburn, Alabama, LSU, A&M, Ole Miss, State, etc.. week in and week out. I think they drop two somewhere along the line.

Bama losing in week 1 can only mean that the SEC is down this year.

That all depends on how well the SEC plays this year and where the games are being played. Going based off of last year, I don't think any SEC team could beat tOSU in Columbus. Now if they had road games to BDS, JHS, or DV, then yeah, the chances of winning goes up (sound cliche, I know). But the chances of them playing 3 big opponents on the road in the SEC is slim. Urban has also coached in the SEC, thinking OSU is a 3-loss team with a good schedule is ignorant. They return a ton of experience and depth this year that can compete with anyone in the nation.

After A&M blows out ASU the swamp kittens will be saying:

"They started off hot last year too and a lot of good it did them."

"The Pac 12 is overrated."

"Wait til conference play, then we will see 3rd and Chavis."

"Myles Garrett won't be able to do that against LSU's offensive line."

I'll still believe all these things even if they win impressively. The beauty of it is as the season plays out we'll find out who's right.

Louisville has plenty of "dogs".

They had the second most picks in last years draft, behind FSU. They've had several first rounders in the last few years, more than Auburn.

They have talent.

I don't think anyone is debating that. They lost a good bit to the NFL and their returning starters are unproven

Bama, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss, Arkansas are all more than capable of beating OSU. There's 6.

I don't know that we are capable of beating OSU. I'm pretty sure you guys aren't. Same for ole miss and arky.

So they're capable of losing 6 (really disagree about that but i digress) and you're guaranteeing they lose 3?

I think what he means is having to play

week in and week out that they probably drop a game or two between playing those 6 teams.

Then why'd he say they'd lose 3?

I'm not making an argument that they'd run the table...but to say they'd lose 3 if they had to play in the sec is silly.

Yeah, they're more than capable, but that doesn't mean it would be a for sure thing like you said. Alabama is capable of going 5-7, but the odds are against them going 5-7. Ohio State, based on last years performances and returning starters, will field the best team this year until someone knocks them off. Just because they have a weak schedule doesn't mean they are a weak team.
